Cant take deep breaths
Quote from thomas on July 15, 2019, 3:19 pmI'm having difficulty having satisfying full inhales. anyone else experience this? Doesn't matter if I yawn, or simply want to take a nice deep breath. I just cant. (been almost a week)
It feels like my lungs fill up 70% but cant go to 100% to give me that satisfying feeling of a deep breath
i saw somebody talking about a breathing technique in another thread. I wanted to try it out but my lungs just don't let me inhale all the way. I guess i'll just have to wait it out
(Approaching month 9)

Quote from ZJ on July 15, 2019, 4:07 pmYes, I've had this problem off and on. Sometimes it lasts for days and sometimes weeks. Occasionally it vanishes for a few hours then comes back. It's not fun. I think I'm at 10 months.

Quote from lil chick on July 15, 2019, 4:13 pmHeard of hiatal hernia? This is when the stomach starts trying to come up into the diaphragm. You can get these from coughing, vomiting. There is a stair step exercise that helps (drop heels). Google it. Be careful. Sometimes I suspect this on myself, and another family member has a diagnosis of it, so maybe it's a "thing"?
I sometimes work on better out-breaths and just let the in-breaths come of their own volition. And concentrate on relaxing. That works usually for me.

I don't think that's my problem. I've not done any coughing or vomiting and I don't have acid reflux. It's like a mild chronic asthma.

Quote from ZJ on July 15, 2019, 4:42 pmOn second thought it could be hiatal hernia but I'll have to read more about the possible causes. Whatever it is it's definitely not caused by any sort of sudden movement in my case.

Quote from lil chick on July 15, 2019, 6:00 pmUnless you have mobility issues, you could see if the heel drop exercize does anything helpful. It wouldn't hurt anything.
Have you had weight loss?

Quote from Dino on July 16, 2019, 1:37 amThomas, have you had that problem before starting the low A diet? Either your lungs are too toxic or they are unused correctly for too long. Go very slowly and fill first the lower abdomen then the region of diaphragm then very slowly the lungs up to the point where you feel you cannot do more COMFORTABLY. Stop at that level dont overdo it. When filled up to that point tap very gently (very very gently with fingers) on the torso and sides. You may feel like gentle vibration within the lungs when exhaling afterwards. Try that for a few days to see whether it goes better but dont push above confortable limits. The lungs must be retrained slowly and build overtime.

I don't think this is my issue either, i have none of the symptoms other than unable to take the occasional deep and satisfying breath of air. I think this may just be inflammation, i'll report back once it's gone completely. Thanks for the advice though 🙂

I believe I had it literally days before starting this diet, I'd continue to be out of breath 30 minutes post workout. I exercised today and seemed to be the same issue, I think it's jumping back to my toxicity symptoms as a hint that i'm detoxing.
I will give the breathing exercise a try for sure.. anything to get rid of this as quick as possible. Thanks =)

Quote from lil chick on July 17, 2019, 7:21 amI'm pretty sure that I hyperventilate sometimes, (since late childhood!) especially after mouth breathing due to working my body hard.I'm not an expert on buteko or etc. But it seems to me like what happens is that I'm not actually blowing out properly. You can't blow up a balloon that is already blown up.And so I sit and sip cool water. If I'm mouth breathing I return to nose breathing (this may take some throat clearing, nose blowing, coughing and sitting up right) I squeeze out the out breaths a bit harder (using my absominals) relax... And let the air flow slowly in of it's own volition. Sometimes burping happens because air has been swallowed and that helps with a bloated feeling that can be part of this.It worry a little about writing this because I don't want to goof up asthmatics. YMMVAnother thing to try to figure out if you are hyperventilating is the good old breathing-into-a-brown-bag thing.what does hyperventilation feel like
- Shortness of breath, or feeling that you can't get enough air.
- A faster than normal heartbeat.
- Feeling faint, dizzy, or lightheaded.
- Pain or tightness in your chest.
- Frequent yawn or sighs.
- A numb, tingly feeling in your hands or feet.

Breathing problems. Ugh. I am working under the theory that breathing problem is angina. Chondroitin Sulfate, Broccomax from Jarrow, and nebulized glutathione...all sulfate based...have resolved the issue for me.
