Carnivore and Bile Acid Malabsorption
Quote from Hermes on November 15, 2022, 9:31 am@carnivoreHow do you identify energy blockages? Are they captured by the body and expressed as ailments, as dis-ease? Very fascinating what you're describing, and I honestly yearn to understand the psychological aspect of healing better. I've always wondered what other things there might be which would help us from a more spiritual standpoint. Vitamin A depletion is clearly a physical angle, relevant nonetheless. I haven't found therapy very beneficial for me. It's like I never really get to the true pain points. LSD and psilocybin are both helpful for psychological health as well. Taking them feels like going through issues at warp speed. No denying is possible, no side-tracking.

Your description of muscle testing is hardly different from what my practitioner applied. To be clear, she did have me hold my arm at a 90 degree angle while standing. I don't clearly recall if she asked any "warm-up" questions before attempting to measure my response to supplements, nor can I recall if she pressed my hand with her own, but she was a very astute person who started her own IV therapy clinic, so I trust that she applied whatever common methodology existed (not that there is any official standardization of this technique whatsoever).
You are attempting to measure the relative "strength" or "weakness" of a muscle in response to a stimulus. In your example, the stimulus was saying a person's name. I will note that you did not actually describe how you objectively measured the extent of the muscle response (e.g. distance that hand/arm travels vertically in response to a stimulus). And I suspect the reason is that this test is meant to be subjective, not objective, which is exactly what you describe when you say you are creating your own reality.
Every person lives their own version of reality, but that is not exactly the same as saying every person creates their own version of reality. As I said a long time ago, we all live in a shared objective reality, which is what the scientific method is attempting to describe. Each person then layers their own interpretation of that reality over top of it, based on physical sensations and the actions of their mind. Just because you have developed a subjective interpretation of objective reality does not make that interpretation an accurate or useful reflection of objective reality, for you or anyone else.
You are basically describing a combination of willful self-delusion and the placebo effect. The mind is a very powerful thing, and science has indeed objectively measured the power of the mind over physical aspects of the body (placebo and no-cebo effects), so there is no denying that the will of the mind is a very powerful tool that should be used in healing and in daily life. However, the benefits of that inner will only persist when your subjective interpretation of reality doesn't have major conflicts with objective reality.
Example 1: you convince yourself that speeding vehicles cannot harm you, so you confidently walk into oncoming traffic expecting no harm, but of course we know what happens in objective reality...you get squished. There was obviously a major conflict between your subjective interpretation and objective reality.
Example 2: a devout religious person believes that their divine creator will heal a physical ailment in the absence of medical care by other humans, and therefore does not seek medical care by other humans. If the physical ailment is severe enough, then that person dies, because there was no divine creator to intervene. The believer's interpretation of reality had major conflicts with objective reality.
Example 3: in an earlier post, you shared your subjective interpretation that microbes and viruses do not cause disease, but rather assist the body to heal from imbalances. Were you to actually put that to the test by exposing yourself to some known lethal virus, you would undoubtedly find that your subjective interpretation had a major conflict with objective reality...the virus would kill you.
[I am saying all this stuff for the benefit of people like @nina and @christian so that they have a clearer picture of what they might be treading into should they decide to follow any of your advice. I'm well aware that I am not going to change your mind, precisely because you have intentionally put distance between your subjective interpretation of reality and our shared objective reality. Losing money buying a worthless VitaChip is one thing, but steering someone into the territory of psychological delusions is quite another in terms of potential harms.]

Very well put! Especially the distinction between the personal flavor of reality and the objective reality which we share, indeed, our common ground so to speak. Sadly, we‘re being deluded into a large-scale distortion of reality. I‘m thinking about covid vaccines as a supposed effective measure to be protected against contagion (not true!). The prevelant notion among many family doctors, that diet doesn‘t influence personal well-being (not true!) or the wide-spread idea that depression is caused by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain (not true! studies are inconclusive: some find elevated levels among depressed patients, some find too little. It‘s basically a clever marketing ploy by big pharma, catchy and easy to understand, yet simply false). So yes, there is objective reality, but bogus and fraudulent science has actually contributed to this mess we‘re in today. No one is really interested in a healthy population, I wager to say the contrary, science is part of the delusion or propaganda we‘re being fed. Not to say that this applies to all science, but a lot of mainstream ideas are false today. So we‘re left on our own, and luckily there are places like this forum, where we can share unorthodox ideas which are much better models of reality, i.e. vitamin a being problematic (and causing systemic problems that are expressed individually), meat being a very nutritious food (think about the vegan agenda which is being pushed heavily, so many people these days are vegetarian, and really they‘re doing themselves a disservice), dietary fats causing obesity.

Largely agree, but just to be clear, the scientific method and Science are distinct entities. If it's possible to corrupt something, it will undoubtedly become corrupt at some point. The flaws of corrupted Science are not those of the scientific method when applied correctly. But yes, because Science has been corrupted, especially in very recent times, we can no longer trust what we read in scientific journals, which is even more reason to try to identify the optimal human diet and lifestyle as the primary method of healing rather than digging through the compromised dietary literature for answers.

Thanks for your post. Well I do think that trapped emotions can cause disease. But our bodies need certain building blocks and evolved to eat a specific diet. So I have to find my own path which probably is somewhere in the middle....
You said, that you got burning diarrhoea when eating large amounts of tallow. Have you tried doing the same with raw fat trimmings? I'd love to see your reaction to it. I never eat tallow, always the raw fat...
Also: I get this rasch under my eyes. It comes and goes. It looks like candida. But I am not sure. Also I am nauseous in the morning, have no appetite, my gut hurts, and coffee tastes like shit (it probably is, yes I know, but this wasn't the case before).
What do you know about candida? How can I test for it or other bacterial/fungal overgrowth? Have you ever had it?
I read that taking HCL supplements or drinking a large quantity of caprylic acid could initiate a die off.
Something is REALLY wrong here atm. I'm quite desperate because I just cannot pinpoint what the root cause is...@carnivore
Thanks. I would be interested in how one could identify blockages and then start to release them? Is it by writing them out? How do I know what the problem is and then how do I solve it? Is it a release of the emotion that is connected to the problem? Would love to hear...

Quote from Carnivore on November 17, 2022, 7:19 am@nina @christian I focus on something like an emotion or a thought or a body part and I feel if energy flows freely or if there's a blockage because the energy meridians I mentioned earlier create a circuit that's either open or closed, depending on how I ask the question. If there's a blockage I keep my focus on it until it's gone. It's a very simple process. Sometimes changes are immediate, sometimes gradual, happening on all octaves simultaneously because of resonance - physical, astral/emotional, mental and causal, although actual change on the physical plane takes longer since it vibrates at the lowest rate of the four. Blockages that are removed are ususally gone for good and one's personality changes accordingly. Thinking is different, emotional reactions are different or gone altogether, health can improve, too. What triggered or bothered you in the past doesn't anymore after a blockage is gone because there's no more resonance. No blockages means perfect equanimity no matter what happens outside of you. It's the realization that nothing is real and no harm can ever come to what you really are.
In the way this technique works it can probably be compared to things like EFT or EMDR and similar ones. In a sense they all change reality by changing beliefs.
What we call reality appears to be created by each person individually, based on one's beliefs. There's no such thing as a shared reality. It only seems that way to a relatively focused/limited consciousness. Actually each of us is one of an infinite number of focal points of the same consciousness that experiences itself from an infinite number of different viewspoints, by experiencing versions of "other" things that resonate to the frequency of that particular viewpoint. So there's an infinite number of different versions of "reality", like snapshots, and consciousness experiences them from a certain angle one after the other (but really all in the same eternal-now-moment) with infinitesimal frequency changes, which creates the illusion of time and beingness. So "reality" is actually more like a dream or hallucination of one eternal beingness - what some call God, creator, universe, whatever.
Sorry for having gone totally offtopic here. It's good to look outside the box occasionally and don't focus solely on the physical. It's mind over matter, after all.

Could you please make an example of a blockage and describe as closely as you can how you resolved it? I don't really know how to start or even how to identify a blockage. For me even feeling an emotion is the hardest thing ever....

As far as I can tell, there are quite some similarities to meditation. You simply pay attention to what is. But the process you describe targets specific issues. For instance, and I'm simply assuming here, I have a tendency to run late. So instead of berating me over it, feeling guilty or whatever, I take the thought and sit with it. Or I might feel some specific pain in my stomach, instead of trying to ignore it, I direct my attention towards that specific area in my tummy and simply pay attention, breathe, and wait until it subsides.
Am I describing what you are saying? A follow-up question is: how do you stay focused on whatever you're trying to dissolve? It's very easy to get distracted, at least for me.
Now, the second part eludes me as well, especially the radical subjectivism that you're suggesting. I think @wavygravygadzooks did a great job elucidating the argument that there is an objective reality. It's where we meet as a society. To have a common ground is a basic premise for each and every relationship I have in the world: be at work or privately. I wouldn't go as far as to say reality is an illusion. It's something else to say that reality is more than what we just see, smell, taste, and hear. I'm a Christian believer, and for me the idea of an invisible world is very real, but again, that's not the same as to say shared experiences don't exist. It's both: the world is both objective and very personal (or subjective).

No, I have not tried raw fat, still too sketched out by the idea of eating raw anything from an animal, particularly one I didn't butcher myself. Before I dropped Vitamin A from my diet, I was not having these problems with tallow or any other fat. I've heard a number of people on carnivore claim that rendered fat doesn't agree with them or "goes straight through them", which has always seemed very odd. Given my experiences on a low Vitamin A diet, I can't help but wonder if these people are dealing with some aspect of Vitamin A toxicity, but then I don't really have an explanation as to why raw fat would be OK for them, unless maybe they don't eat as much raw fat as they do tallow because for some reason the raw fat sends a stronger satiety signal than tallow? It might also have to do with raw fat being encased in collagen-like membranes (unless you're eating suet which I don't think has the same membranes), and those membranes might slow the movement of fat from the stomach into the intestines and either improve digestion or help avoid a massive dump of bile into the intestines in a short time frame.
For me, it seems like it is a cumulative effect: if I eat pretty lean for a while and then reintroduce larger amounts of tallow, it seems like I can go for days eating higher amounts of tallow without problem, and then at some point I start getting more bulky, pale, loose, burning stools that don't float, have that strange waxy appearance to them, and smell very weird.
An Organic Acids Test (OAT) from a place like Great Plains Laboratory seems like a good bang for your buck if you want to have an alternative health practitioner help interpret the results for you. That will give you a good idea as to whether you have Candida problems, other fungal or bacterial overgrowth, B vitamin deficiencies, oxalate problems, and more. My OATs from a while ago did indicate Candida/fungal problems, bacterial overgrowth, and oxalates, but I haven't done one in over 3 years now...been tempted, but I wasn't sure it was worth the money anymore.
Like I said before, I had a variety of skin problems like facial dermatitis pop up after I dropped Vitamin A from my diet, which was not that long after dropping oxalates. Going low Vitamin A pretty much coincided with going carnivore. I would bet that a lot of my skin and other symptoms have been the consequence of oxalate dumping. In fact, I continue to wonder whether the majority of my problems are from oxalates and not Vitamin A, as it seems like there is a lot of potential overlap in symptoms between these issues. Candida seems to often be associated with oxalates and oxalate dumping. The "keto rash" and the problems people have transitioning onto carnivore can probably best be attributed to oxalate dumping, resolution from some other plant compounds, or perhaps Vitamin A dumping.
Most of my upper GI problems resolved on low Vitamin A carnivore, and my lower GI problems were much improved overall for a while, but then things started gradually getting worse in a different way in my colon and I'm still stuck with that at the moment. Having tried antimicrobials (Biocidin), binders, supplemental fiber, smaller amounts of plant foods, and probiotics without improvement, I'm left thinking my gut is just going to be F'd until I'm done eliminating whatever is coming out of my body. One thing I haven't tried is adding concentrated oxalates or Vitamin A back to the diet to see if that stems an outflow of stuff and makes me feel better.
I'm sorry to hear you feel so bad! I've largely been incapacitated for the past 2-3 years and have been freaked out over and over again by new weird symptom after new weird symptom, but most of them eventually resolved. Drives me crazy not knowing for sure what is going on and just having to constantly make educated guesses and hope for the best. I've stuck by the carnivore diet because, of all the things I've learned about, that seems to have the most solid evidence-based rationale across many different scientific disciplines with tons of anecdotal evidence to back it up.
