It seems like it was a bad idea with the egg whites isolate. *** VA.
You ate egg white isolate and had problems? Unless the product was badly produced and there was contamination from egg yolks I highly doubt your negative reaction had anything to do with VA. Egg whites have no VA. Egg whites are however kind of a difficult food and I can’t imagine that turning it into a powder would make it easier to tolerate.
Yes, I thought it might have been the ammonia in it. But I noticed that after egg whites, my plaque on the tongue increases (as well as after milk), so I recently removed this from the diet. There may be water-soluble metabolites of VA.
Tongue plaque can be caused by indigestion, egg whites are a bit tough to dugest. And probably even harder when they’re dehydrated. How do you react to non-powderized egg whites? If you buy eggs you can make sure the egg whites don’t have sny VA, just make sure you don’t break the yolk when you crack them, or else the egg white will be contaminated with it.
I don't think it's due to indigestion. I have no stomach symptoms. And I can eat beans, bread, meat (even pork) without getting a white plaque on my tongue. I found only 2 products that enhance this for me - this is dairy and egg whites.
Yes, egg whites not from powder also have this effect.

I think what you're describing is what I get also. It sort of feels like a film builds up on the tongue and it gets icky all inside the mouth almost itchy like. Esteaucian tubes can get sticky too. Orange juice has a similar effect one me. Not sure if its a histamine or some other type of reaction. Could be sulfur like zerocool said as mercury toxic people like myself can be sensitive to sulfur rich food. Wondering if you have amalgam fillings or had them for some time in your life?

Don't know if milk has a lot but it does have it. Whey is high in sulfur thiol and google says its 20% of the milk? Whey is to be avoided for people sensitive to thiols in mercury detox protocols.
That's good, if its not silver or black looking then probably not amalgam.
