I sort of think the guy called "carnivore MD" whose video is posted above looks like he is headed for rosacea.

hmm kinda hard to find the words, there is this certain passive aggressiveness, bossy behavior... like "being the King". Too much testosteron. Moody, weird rather aggressive moods without any reason... etc. It is not pretty.

The opposite happens when people pop Finasteride which blocks testosterone from being aromatized to DHT. The benefit if you can say so? Your hair is not supposed to fall out. BUT there is a litany of side effects some guys deal with for years to come and stick around even when they drop the poisonous stuff. You get childlike boys who are thirty years old. Guys without body hair. Sexual side effects are rather common. There are entire forums dedicated to healing from Finasteride's trail of destruction.

It's another vanity medicine like Accutane which should be banned so dangerous it is. Well, I would add Bactrim to the list of medications which are terrible for you: An antibiotic which depletes thiamine in the body.

I remember back in my WAPF days there were raw-liver eaters on the forum and they would talk about feeling like they could "jump over the house" after "partaking".

I remember a story that seemed to have a ring of truth to it, that in hunter-gatherer tribes, when a large animal was taken down that they would cut the raw liver into as many small pieces as there were tribe members and each person would be given a tiny slice of it.   Using it much like a supplement  makes so much more sense than gorging on liver, if you realize that liver is poisonous but also packed with nutrients that are hard to get.

I've also always felt like liver (and egg yolks too for that matter) suffer a bit in flavor from cooking.   Like you have this impression they are somewhat ruined.   The impression isn't there for me in scrambled eggs, only when eating a cooked yolk.   Similar to how steak seems ruined by being cooked "well done".   Milk is another food that seems worse cooked.

I mean are we defining health by whether or not we drop dead? When I felt like death, was having panic attacks, had no energy yet was taking care of two small children you couldn't tell that by looking at me. On the outside I was still attractive looking. I think people using hormones will always look like they are doing better than those who don't.. until they die of cancer or something (actually I was on hormones at the time! progesterone). My friend who just died of cancer, was working part time, homeschooling, was the worship leader of her church an hour away, did strip club ministry staying out til 2 am ministering to girls getting pregnant by random men. She looked like she had an abundance of energy until she died. We really don't know what a person is going through even by being friends with them.

@jessica2

I do think having a robust metabolism can burn through stuff that someone who is very sluggish, cold, hypothyroid just isn't able to use. But is the answer hormones? I am not so sure on that. I think they can turn someone's life around, but it just isn't working as well as 100 yrs ago when they began giving people desiccated thyroid. It seemed like a miracle back then. Aging backwards.

@@janelle525 well I do agree with you. Exogenous hormones can be problematic. But seems like the liver king is not suffering from any hypervitaminosis a symptoms. And that's pretty fascinating to me seeing as how he actually is using hormones/steroids too which you think would clog up the liver faster.

It is fascinating. I do think we can burn through it at higher amounts in the sun, and if our metabolism is speeding along. Autoimmunity seems more common in the north where the sun is not as strong. I have tanned skin yr round, so it will be interesting to see my serum retinol after several months.

Every picture I've seen of him he definitely doesn't look healthy. So, to get current I just went over to his channel and watched a couple of clips of his most recent videos and it's frankly shocking how horrible he looks. TRT is artificially propping his body up but it's also turning him into something grotesque in my opinion. I know, I was on TRT for a while. But he looks extremely red, which is either a liver thing or from the TRT itself. His body is probably producing way too much hemoglobin and hematocrit, which is what happened to me.

My husband had a redness to his face/neck/ear area when he was very low in T and insulin resistant and had high blood pressure. The redness is gone now that he is on carnivore on beef, chicken, pork. So... I do wonder about Dr Ken Berry and why his face is so red.
