Do we need vitamin A for testosterone production? Does vitamin A detoxification reduce sexual hormones?

There are some lovely progress stories on here such as Bella & Sarah - that I’ve just read. I think the vA detox can cause more symptoms if it is done too quickly or there are particular bottlenecks in the catabolism or removal (in bile or urine) of vitamin A. It needs to be done slowly & carefully or you can detox vA from the liver & have it circulating around the body causing symptoms.
I’ve been following the vA story for 22 months now & am convinced that it’s a very important route cause for many people. Therefore, reducing the vA load on the body is essential for regaining health for these people (me included). However, safely removing vA has to be done very carefully & several factors considered, also it seems that some people have an easier time than others.

Quote from lil chick on July 28, 2020, 7:51 amHi SSV, I see you are new here! Welcome. I agree 100% with what Tim and JAJ just said. I look forward to your point of view, and the truth will out.
I want to second mmb3664, I want to say something about supplement taking. I no longer agree with the idea that "this mineral balances that mineral" or "this fat soluble balances that one".
If you have an overload of a vitamin or mineral, you need to stop taking it in.
I think when you take x to offset y you can end up overloaded with both x and y.
I also don't trust supp companies not to make mistakes. Sort of like cat food recalls. Woops that batch of cans had 5 times as much vitamin D! or a bunch of plastic! Woops.
That being said, I think B spectrum and B12 shots saved my elderly cat so I can't say I'm totally against all supps. They have their place. A small place. 🙂

Thanks for your worries and tips! I was also less careful about supplements, but now I have specific reasons and informations for almost everything I take. Interesting! I am now taking vitamin E every third day again and a teaspoon oil in the evening, since then I feel a little better.
I'm just still unsure about the vitamin E topic. The question of how meaningful my low vitamin E blood is despite taking it for so long and in very high dose, if it's really not saved at all..
I read that vitamin E is stored in the adipose tissue and the adrenal gland. If this theory is true but the break down due to urine is also true, it makes sense with the adrenal gland, but not with the adipose tissue... Well, I have almost no adipose tissue anyway, but simply the concerns that I may not have a low value in reality and being overload with vitamin E, if it is not completely eliminated..
Well, as long as I'm not worse off taking it, it might not be so bad for me... unless the improvement is actually a slowdown in vitamin A detoxification, how knows ;D
I am definitely more careful now with supplements and thinking a lot about supps like vitamin e , which are not considered very safe, as you can see, great conflict now

Quote from lil chick on July 30, 2020, 10:10 amOne of the neat things Price did (and I still really like his book, even though VA overload wasn't on his radar) is that he put inner-city children with cavities on freshly ground grain to give them more Vit E (as part of his experiments).
People without grinders accomplish this by soaking and cooking with whole, fresh grains.
When we purchase whole grain products, for instance bread or even rolled oats, it might be a long time since the grain was ground or rolled, and the E might be oxidized.
This is something I hope to fix in my diet too.

I fail to see how those cavity healing experiments were legit. Extensive tooth decay can be healed but not by one nutritious meal per day and two others high in sugar along with zero dental hygiene. I'm speaking as someone that has actually healed tooth decay. It required meticulous dental hygiene, I would floss twice, brush twice and tongue clean twice after eating. I also ate just twice per day. I also avoided sugar. Doing that religiously every day combined with mouth sterilization with H2O2 results in healing over a period of months.
What amazes me is how little effort seems to go into healing tooth decay naturally. Dentistry costs thousands and has many health issues associated with it, almost everybody has been affected by tooth decay, yet I've received almost zero interest in my protocol that I used to heal my teeth. I will never have to go to a dentist again to fix tooth decay. It costs hardly anything to implement, I've given the info away for free yet no one really cares!

When healing tooth decay I would eat twice per day. After each meal I would do the flossing, brushing and tongue cleaning twice before using H2O2.
I used 6% or 3% H2O2 as a mouth wash. You need move it around the teeth and apply air pressure inside the mouth to push the H2O2 into areas of decay for a few minutes. It is very painful when there is active decay but it gets easier as the teeth heal.
The tooth healing diet should be a balanced diet containing low levels of acids and sugars.
That is the protocol, you don't need to watch my video about it but I've posted it anyway.
Normally I brush, floss and tongue clean once a day before bed.
This is the YT vid I did on it:
P.S. my teeth don't look nice like that but they are healed!

Possibly, I'm not sure.
Aside from pectin, tooth decay is another reason to limit fruit consumption. Both acids and sugars are bad for teeth.

Quote from lil chick on July 31, 2020, 7:57 am@tim, I really like your video and will be sharing it with family members when they freak out because of tooth issues.
I'm in denial about one section of my mouth and I probably am at the point where I should be doing your method. I'm glad this came up.
For the record, were you low VA-ing while fixing your teeth? I forget if you mention it in the vid. Because that could be super important. I'm not sure it would be possible to heal gums that were constantly getting bombarded with VA.

Quote from lil chick on July 31, 2020, 8:02 amRegarding Price's inner city kids, I once started reading "A Tree Grows in Brookyn". It is semi-autobiographical and about and inner city child of that era.
I was aghast at what the little girl in the book was expected to subsist on. As I'm remembering, it wasn't much more than black coffee and stale bread.
Those kids would have been much more like "KFC boy" ... Remember him?
Children are kind of amazing because when they are well fed, I believe they can outgrow some of their issues.
This ability to out-grow problems will help the infant being discussed in the formula thread.
