Fat

@jessica2 "and I don't care to look into it to be honest. "

Yeah I was thinking that you wouldn't like something that doesn't fit and challenges  your current believes.. 🙂

These pictures of the Kepmer intervention diet are amazing. Such weight loss is virtually unheard of unless you have surgery.

Why are there so many people in here denying calories in/calories out basic math… embarrassing.

Also if anyone here started to lose weight by eating more fat, then they probably have some level of insulin resistance, which in itself is not normal.

(I guess it is normal in today’s society).

Yeah because our bodies are just basic math machines and hormones don't exist.

If it really was that simple people would be losing weight all over the place.

I don't even know why you talk about insulin resistance. If people lost weight by eating fat they obviously only ate less calories. Sounds pretty close to you being a basic maths denier. Slippery slope right there. I'd watch it if I were you.

Stop embarrassing yourself. Calories in calories out and insulin resistance are not mutually exclusive concepts.

@jessica2 It looks like you need some sugar to lower stress. Relax pls. 🙂 You don't have to show me some bro science bodybuiders talking about "speeding up metabolism with more and more food". I was doing it 10 years. I also never said that keto doesn't work for weight loss. It is very effective because like I said you eliminate blood sugar spikes but most importantly you will lose hunger on keto + the fact that fats digest the longest time from all macros so in combination with no blood sugar spikes most people on keto can eat just once or twice a day without any issues. Therefore they eat less calories as result.. Naturally you will simply not over eat on keto diet. It is exactly the same for low fat high carb vegans. Why they are skin and bones? Because try to overeat on very low fat diet.. It is almost impossible. But as soon as you mix some butter/cream into your potatoes? or some olive oil on your pasta? You can eat 3 times that amount easily..

You have internet FULL OF SKIN AND BONES VEGANS AND HIGH CARBERS. So how you can say that ïnsulin spike and eating carbs makes you fat? 🙂

For a last time what makes people fat is excess of calories and when they mix high fat and high carb diet. That is the most easiest way to be obese. But you will gain 100 pounds of fat on rice/fruit diet sorry. 🙂

All diets works because you simply eat lower calories that you were eating before and it basically doesn't matter (in terms of weight loss) how you lower them. If you eliminate all carbs or all fats so it is hard to overeat or if you eat only 1 meal a day or if you eat whatever and fast couple days a week etc.. Or you don't change your diet at all but you start burning more calories by moving your body. But at the end of the day in general weight loss = you are in calorie deficit..

I understand that different foods have different impact on hormones etc.. That is also factor in long term health etc.. But still like I said. If you are not burning any calories you are just watching netflix and you are eating 10 000kcal on "healthy" keto diet you think you will not gain weight? You will be so fat after couple of months that you would need firefighters to pull you out of the house. 🙂

@jiri

Insulin resistance has a big part to play though.

Also I don’t think a very low-fat diet is healthy or realistic.

Have a look at this chart I’ve attached.

The real question is (that there doesn’t seem to be a consensus on)- what is the root cause of insulin resistance?

I talk about my personal experiences and why I believe something. You come and swoop in like you know it all. Accidentally saw your message on my phone. You've been on my ublock origin blocklist for a while already. No critical thinking on your part, and jiri either. You just turn everything into a shouting match without any respect of where the other person came from even when they clearly explain what they believe and why. Someone can clearly say they didn't calorie restrict and they then get told multiple times they calorie restricted, that's why I called Jiri retarded.
Sorry not sorry. Not interested into butting my head against a wall. I commend some people here and their willingness to entertain you assholes and having to fulfill all your criteria and logic and the moment they don't THEY ARE WRONG and they get made fun of.

Hyperinsulinemia, the video I just posted. The cell becomes insulin resistant as a protection mechanism. You might want to watch it. It's not just glucose that causes insulin excretion. Last message you're getting from me, I will never see anything you post ever again.

Updated 21st of June 2023.

Install ublock origin in your browser. This link is for chrome. You can also get it for firefox, or edge and they should be in the official browser addon stores. No clue on apple stuff.
If you already use an adblocker maybe this line will work in their custom filters as well.

Click the name of the person you want to block, under their avatar. This should give you their profile link. Copy that link. Click the extension, go to the dashboard. To the "My filters" tab.

Add the below text to the filters. Change the link to the one whose messages you don't want to see. It works for me when I am logged in, it doesn't seem to work when not logged into an account. No guarantees it does for you nor how long. Had to write this myself. Maybe I'll make a post in my own progress thread and keep it updated. My own name as an example and some others.

For me the difference is I either do this, and don't read their messages (which may include the occasional nugget of wisdom). Or I have to wade through piles of their brainvomit, get annoyed beyond reason and leave the site in its totality. If I leave I don't read their messages nór anyone elses. Just to make clear, I am not saying they don't have anything useful to add ever. Nor do I want them to stop posting.

@donald I'm super interested in this block feature you speak of 😄

You can’t be blocking Jiri, he’s a certified legend around these parts.

Lol cassia got blocked and barely said anything.

Who’s getting blocked next? I’ve got my money on Salt.

No one gets blocked here, only Grant Genereux has the ability to delete accounts, he's the moderator if you want. Donald's recommendations are for personal use only, so posts from certain users will not appear in your view of the forum when you are logged in.

It's so common these days to cancel people who don't agree with you, and technology makes it easy to live in your own little bubble. Opposing views are simply ignored. Sounds strangely familiar to me, what's happening on a large scale with social media, YouTube and the MSM. Just don't cover certain topics, don't argue with people who disagree with a certain idea. If this continues, we'll soon be living in the intellectual Dark Ages again.

I'm really not a fan of blocking people and in my opinion Jiri was just persistent but he didn't attack anyone. He was blunt, but that's not the same as being mean.

And please stop calling people names. We've had personal attacks like this before and it's intimidating some people to post here, which is really sad because I want to hear people's experiences with the low vitamin A diet they're following. Usually people here are caring and I hope it stays that way.
