When you've had negative reactions by taking too much, what did you feel? Sick, or tired, or what?

exacerbation of previous issues like joint pain, skin, fatigue, brain fog, etc. Sometimes a headache and irritability. It usually resides in a day or 2.

A few weeks ago I took a good amount in the morning and the whole day was kind of a dark apathy. Once you realize what it is, it's just fascinating to understand how your free will can get hijacked on a whim.

Sometimes free will needs a little nudge with will power.

Feels like that is where prayer comes in.  Even if atheists were right, praying focuses our will toward what we ask for, which by the way kind of makes atheists wrong.  Again.

I understand that we can override some things but imagine if someone drugged you with a ton of alcohol and trying to will your way out of being drunk. It's mostly about damage control at that point.

I'm not an atheist btw.

Feels like will and subconscious thoughts are more subtle than that.  Might we will ourselves out of situations where someone is able to drug us?

Well, when bacteria and other microbes are drugging you, it's kind of hard to weasel out of it.

I brought up alcohol because it was something most of us could relate to. We've all experienced how simple compounds can severely alter the brain and mindspace.

For real.  Back in 1993, I learned about Stuart Levy from his Antibiotic Paradox.  From there I got on to microbiome (antibiotics do screw that) and started in with William Crook's Yeast Connection.  Got into orthomolecular nutrition around then too.  Before I jumped in to experiment on me, I dug around a bit to get convinced.  Read about an American guy moved to Japan and got accused of DUI.  His blood alcohol was over the limit.  Odd since he had not drank alcohol in years.  Went into a court case and his docs proved that his rice diet in Japan was being converted to alcohol in his gut fast enough to make him legally drunk.

So yeh for sure.  There is always something coming for us.  Every one of us.  And there is always something we can do about it.

When Descartes exclaimed: I think therefore I am, he set up the West for this gnostic BS we see all around: People spouting things like your thoughts create your reality (The Secret, anyone?), when in fact it's all reversed. Your body creates your thoughts and your consciousness; and any poisoning, be it from the gut, by excess vitamin A, glyphosate, and myriad other human made toxins, your body suffers, and thus your thinking. A healthy body is sort of a prerequisite for clear thinking.

But the overlords don't want you in a state of serenity, so they will continue to poison us, however they can. We live in the poisonous century and we need to resist any of it. And I would go as far as to say: this is a spiritual battle. For the health of our kids, our neighborhoods, and communities.

I agree for the most part but I believe our bodies augment our thoughts and consciousness.

Are you a Christian? There's plenty of scripture that supports reclaiming health and deliverance that demons have taken through legal means. So making healing declerations is one way of taking back what we've been promised.

Yes, sir, I am. Curious to hear what scripture passages you have in mind.

It troubles me that I struggle with my health so much. I wish I was more useful to society and, ultimately, the Lord.

God is sovereign, even in our suffering, but I have such a hard time believing the challenges I encounter are to my well-being and His Glory. It seems like a never ending story of suffering and isolation with no other hope than the eternal reward.

I wish so much for a second chapter in my life. But so often, when I ruminate about the trajectory of my life I find myself returning to the same conclusion. This is the work of the Lord. He has ways far beyond me, thoughts I'll never be able to comprehend, certainly not in this lifetime. This life is only fleeting, a preparation for eternity. I should have more than enough reasons to rejoice, but I guess I'm just too human, which means sinful.

Let's say I've been humbled and humiliated again and again.
