Quote from Matrixik on February 9, 2019, 1:01 amThank you for all comments, looks like my rant at the end moved topic in some other direction than I though.
I'm better now and after one week of eating low vitA my hands are quite good. No more pain, skin is healing nice, top layer is flaking off.
I was just stunned how fast my skin changed from OK to the one you can see in attachment. Red spots are dried blood, and it's not so good visible on the picture that more of the hand is inflamed. Back of both hands was inflaming fast when I put them under hot water after returning to hotel (temp on the outside was around 0°C, so not really cold).

Left hand in previous post was day later and I think I also took off glove from it a lot more times for making pictures with my phone on the outside, that could be the reason why it was in worse condition. All happened like in 2-3 days.

Quote from Guest on February 12, 2019, 2:33 pmI'm still too early in this process to know how I will react to vit A foods after I am thoroughly detoxed (just 3 1/2 months in right now).
However, I went to a friend's house for a dinner party when I was about 6 weeks in and had a bad reaction from eating a small amount of pork, some cheese and some chocolate. By the end of the evening, my teeth and gums were extremely temperature sensitive. The next day, my neck was really tight and I had a headache.
Not wanting to be a complete recluse, I said yes the next time I was invited out and took activated charcoal capsules with me. Ate some immediately before and immediately after the meal. I have had just 2 restaurant meals after those two house parties. I have more options at the restaurants to try to choose things that are lower in A, but I can't control everything they use in the kitchen. I have taken charcoal with me on those occasions, too.
Again, this doesn't answer the original question in this thread -- Will one be able to eat a wide range of foods easily after detoxing? But it is a great consolation for me that I can do something relatively simple to mitigate the kickback. I would love to be able to enjoy social meals with friends and not have to bring my own food all the time. I hope I won't always need charcoal or another helper, but for now it really is working for me.
