If you consume the mushroom with the tea then it will have some.
You'll only get significant amounts of beta-glucan though if you eat a decent serving of mushrooms or whole grains.

Quote from lil chick on July 9, 2020, 9:58 am@jiri, maybe you need to mix things up a bit? I know it is nice to have simplicity, but I seem to get the ick on most things after a few days. These are few things that are daily for me: coffee, milk, wheat, salt, pepper, cayenne, bacon. 🙂 Everything else rotates.

It's a hemicellulose. It can also remove bile acids like beta-glucan and pectin.

Quote from tim on July 10, 2020, 3:24 amNutritional yeast is another good source of beta-glucan. Best to avoid yeast that has added B vitamins though.

Quote from Jiří on July 10, 2020, 4:30 am@lil-chick " coffee, milk, wheat, salt, pepper, cayenne, bacon." LOL you want to kill me? Why? 🙂 It is more than clear that I still have leaky gut. So gluten and caseine is last thing that I would eat..
@tim-2 well there you go.. I can take psyllium it doesn't give me any serious issues like gas or signs of inflammation only slows down bowel movement a bit..

Hopefully that will change. LOL, that is what my husband says to me all the time: "You're trying to kill me!".
I once read about deer in a park who were eating human food and then couldn't tolerate their natural food anymore. IMO, that list above is typical fare for Europeans, and if you can't tolerate it, it is a symptom and it will go away when you are well.
My mother experienced some dairy intolerance and she asked a real dietician about it. The dietician put her on the tiniest bit of dairy each day, SLLLOOOWWLY ramping it up. It worked.
My milk is skim and raw and goat. (not grocery store) I try to find organic wheat, although I'm not 100%. The bacon is only one slice each breakfast, but I like to have some meat with breakfast. I like all my meals to be "square" with a solid protein, some fat, a carb...
