I looked into that a while ago and I can't remember the conclusion I came to, I'll have to do a refresher. Chicken bones are often very high in fluoride too I think.

I'm going to up my vD supplementation for a bit and take plenty of K2 along with it after reading related studies recently. I haven't worked out how much yet. I think it's a good idea while retinoic acid levels are still high.

@tim-2 I think around 4000-5000iu a day can't hurt anyone if you don't have high calcium intake. What I don't understand how a lot of people say you need to take calcium with vit D like why? It doesn't make nay sense. Natural diet is not high in calcium, but you get a lot of D3 from the sun.. For now I take 2000 iu and I think I will up the dose to 4000 iu through the all winter months.. Without K2 supps.. It is expensive and I am tired of spending so much money on pills.. 

@tim-2 @jiri  Any thoughts on why taking ~1000IU vitamin D gives me potent insomnia?   Any time I test with it over the last few weeks, I get insomnia that last one or two nights.   I think I will invest in a Sperti light for this winter coming.

@orion try eat mackerel if you get the same reaction. One mackerel has around 1000iu I think..

You can try getting vit D3+K2 (MK-7) from Poland. They are cheap here (like KFD having in one pill 2000 j.m. (50 mcg) D3 and 50 mcg of K2, bottle with 200 pills cost around 4,5 € - even cheaper on https://allegro.pl (they are owners of aukro.cz)).

@matrixik I don't know if mk 7 is even doing something positive.  I am eating a lot of poultry thighs. There should be plenty of mk4 and also I am not taking any high doses of D3. I don't think I need it.. I was also taking mk4 drops from Thorne like 3mg a day and I haven't seen any difference and that was expensive as fuck..  Btw I was also making for a long time natto(mk7) at home like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFcO_3pE2ww  also without any results..

This is purely hypothetical but for anyone that has taken Accutane then calcitriol may tend towards high when there is enough calcidiol. This depletes you of calcidiol faster. So when you take D3 you may create a see saw effect of fluctuating calcitriol levels because soon after taking D3 calcitriol may become elevated again. Both vD and vA deplete K2 so that could be involved.

Maybe try D3 + K2 + Magnesium? If K2 MK-7 makes the insomnia worse try K2 MK-4.

Guys, K2 isn't likely to do anything you can feel immediately but it will likely help over time and it will help minimize the effects of elevated levels of retinoic acid.

Yeah taking calcium with vD doesn't make sense to me either.
