Quote from lil chick on November 21, 2025, 2:37 pmInteresting factoid: "Individuals with blood type O are more susceptible to H. pylori infection compared to other blood groups. While studies have found conflicting results on the correlation between H. pylori and other blood types, there is a general consensus that blood group O is at a higher risk of infection and may have a more pronounced inflammatory response."I remember reading in D'adamo's book on the blood type diet that type O has the highest stomach acid. I read separately that high acid is what h-pylori likes. So I guess that explains why anyone, anywhere would have a benefit from taking things that lower the acid of the stomach. (when obviously stomach acid has a good purpose)Perhaps this also somewhat explains why people sometimes see a benefit to the diets that supposedly made you less acid and more base by eating lots of greens.(not that I think you should do either thing, just thinking aloud)

As an (extreme) example if this were true, we could allow children, who have mostly sane terrain, to drink stale dirty water supposing pathogens shouldn't develop and cause disease in their bodies.
Why would a child have any saner terrain than their parent?

Parents (mother) pass some of their toxins to a child while she's pregnant but that is limited for sure. It is quite obvious that children in general have much less toxins accumulation, because they did not have time to accumulate.

What evidence of these definitive "for sure" and "obvious" statements?

What evidence is there for children having same terrain as their parents?

Quote from lil chick on November 22, 2025, 7:59 amI think that many kids don't have good terrain, unfortunately. It *might* differ from the parents.
Back when I was a wapfer I remember being in conversations about how babies are inoculated in basic flora via the birth canal, and that c-section babies might struggle because of the lack of that trip.
As I've mused, I think it is possible my mother had VA overload and that us children might have gotten crooked teeth from that, and it might have sent us on a path towards early VA overload, and we did end up with problems as children such as asthma, childhood onset auto-immune issues, migraines, infections.
And then of course our children end up on their own path and might have their own exposures such as shots, antibiotic overuse, supplementation gone awry etc.
I do think that nature TRIES to have kids start out on a new foot, and be better off than their parents, it just doesn't always work out that way.
What kids do have is *youth*, and even though the kids in my family might have had a few strikes against us, we did OK! I think we have seen it here that it is harder for older people to fix these problems, younger people seem to get better faster. Maybe to do with more stem cells? Still and all my grandmother used to impress me in her 90's when she was still able to get over things like the flu or whatever. As long as you are on this side of the dirt there is hope.

Quote from lil chick on November 22, 2025, 8:55 amI posed here about latent Epstein Barr Virus but just thought better of it.
Really I think the takeaway is that sometimes really crap stress is going to happen to you and your problems (like rosacea or etc) are going to be re-triggered.

Gut flora is germs, not terrain. I agree that children's terrain is not ideal, but for most of them it is nowhere near at the level of their parents.
