Rosacea and Seb derm

PreviousPage 3 of 14Next

I have taken some pics of my beard I don't know how to uploaded here.

Its so bloody and itchy. Same for my scalp except its not visible.

It's unbelievable that exactly a year ago before I started all of my diets my skin was baby smooth. I was so caught up eating healthy that I would eat raw eggs throughout the day, liver, raw milk, cheese, lots of butter .. Trying to do a primal diet. Not too mention the sushi and raw fish. + I was taking a multi with a sizable dose beta carotene. I remember having to stop it because I was getting bald spots on my beard. Not too mention the fish oil and cod liver oil and who knows what else.

I feel like I inadvertly did an experiment on myself to see how much damage I can do to my body. Same as the one grant said he's understandably reluctant on doing. I am probably a textbook example because aside from some very mild Rosacea I had no issues. Primal diet was a disaster. I overdid everything. When I switched to ray peat with his daily milk eggs orange juice and still liver but with fruit now I started getting intense costochondritis. It's called the devil grip for a reason. Then I tore my rotator cuff from completely mundane movement.

I am so convinced there is a clear causation here. I mean prior to this year I had none of these health issues aside

Day 3 diet:

Morning 2 scoope oat + maple syrup

Workout : taurine, caffeine amino acids and collagen powder

Lunch: Lamb and mushroom + 1 potato

3 Brazil nuts + 1 artichoke

Dinner: roast beef and 2 potatoes and mushrooms

Day 4 summary:

Oatmeal, maple syrup, half pineapple, turkey slices and sourdough bread, rice and roast beef, chicken breast. Supplements taurine and creatine. I am actually enjoying this diet. Feels lighter without the dairy and eggs.

By the way when I had done the allergy test on August it showed I was highly allergic to guess what? they grade it out of 4 and I got level 4 on all of the following foods: milk and cheese, eggs, fish and nightshades. I didn't put it together back then but it's obvious now all those foods are high in vitamin a. The allergist was surprised I had so many he said it was unusual. By the way I never had any allergies growing up. My dad did the same test but had nothing. His diet is very simple white rice combinations doesn't eat eggs or liver.

Guys I am a little confused about stearic acid and palmytic acid and its interactions with VA.

I usually cook with coconut oil is that ok ? Should I switch to something else like maybe grapeseed oil? Is butter ok or no?

Also I was looking at getting a uvb narrowband panel supposed to really help with my skin issue and with vitamin D since I don't want to take a pill. I would really like to hear grants opinion on this one

The jury is still out on fats. I would say to experiment and see for yourself which one you feel better using.

Check out the threads about them.

Ron,

I noticed you mentioned taking camu camu for vitamin C. It appears to contain a few carotenoids. For what it's worth I just thought I'd mention it to you in case you didn't know.

Thanks Bella. I will stop all those plants.

Day 5 diet:

Breakfast is oatmeal honey and maple syrup and slice of turkey plus olive oil

Lunch rice cauliflower extra lean grass fed ground beef

Dinner : turkey rice and fries

I had a coconut drink ( water and sugar). And munched on Brazil nuts

I am noticing my eyes are getting blood shot red today. Not sure what it is. Also I am seriously considering splurging on this uvb light device by solarc system... Its about 1320 dollars for 2 panels but looks like the best way to get vit d and plenty of people healed much more serious skin conditions that mine.

Be careful with Brazil nuts. You can easily get too much selenium from them which can have adverse effects.

From Dr. Smith's facebook page

"Brazil nuts, and selenium in foods, can NOT cause selenium toxicity. Just an FYI.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21856002
"Although B-Se and P-Se surpassed concentrations considered toxic (B-Se: 1000 μg/L (U.S. EPA, 2002)), no dermal or breath signs or symptoms of Se toxicity were associated with the biomarkers of Se status.""

That's good to know. Another reason to avoid supplementation.

I've been trying to go to the tanning bed a couple times per week lately and it seems helpful.

I've been using Doctor's Best pure vitamin C powder with quali-C which has resolved my bleeding gums (thanks to a tip from Harry).

I'm not telling you what to do what I do Ron, just sharing my experience. 🙂
