Had a retest done.

My blood test results show a higher content of vitamin a than 6 months ago when I started the low vitamin a diet.  42.7 and now it’s 44.3.

I am eating a low A diet.  Haven’t had eggs in like forever it seems.  Can’t afford to lose any more weight.  I was slim before.  Dropped at least one size in clothing.  I still have energy though and don’t feel starved.

Mercury and aluminum levels dropped significantly though and my iron levels are much better.  But  Cadmium was high before and now even higher.

Mouth not as dry upon awakening.  Eyes still dry and need misting sometimes at 3 a.m.   no burning though.

Sleep has improved.

Left ear still plugged.

That mole on my leg that I had been watching for some time is diminishing.  No longer growing and itching.

A few improvements but the test results on vitamin a  and the dry eye still to work on.  And my ear.   More adjustments to make.

Despite high stress at work I kept my energy up and didn’t fall ill and I believe it is partly because of the low to zero vitamin A detox I’ve been on since early March.

Eyes still dry at night but not as bad as it has been.  My skin is good.

Ear still plugged.  Will be moving to new area this month and will find an ear specialist then.

Not having cravings anymore.

Sleep is good.  Much more regular than before I started this program.

Approximately 11 months on low to zero  A program.

Work ended end of December.  Been packing and moving since then.  It’s an exhausting task as the drive to my home is over 4 hours through  tall mountains and it’s winter.   I’m  way out of shape, too.  Used to be a lot stronger.

My progress so far:

Eyes not as dry at 3 in the morning.  I still mist them but it just isn’t as bad as it has been.

Sleep is improved.

skin is good

My new home will be much more comfortable and healthier so I can get back into strength exercises and hiking.  Then will see if there is improvement to my dry eyes  and overall physical health and fitness.

Good news @sussan ! I found that the diet dissolves mistakes of the past and their consequences. A new place, a renewal of your life. Best wishes and take it easy. What about your ear?

Your words are good news.  That may be part of my moving and a new start in a new place.

My ear is stilled plugged up though.  Just the one left ear.  Sounds seem to echo through my other ear at times and seems loud and other times it seems normal but it is definitely plugged up.  Still a mystery and you are right!  After 65 health care is limited.  Heck I’m just going to have to get younger.

@sussan

Haha, that sounds like a great plan. Let me know if you've found the secret. 🙂

Actually, something strange  has happened. Someone made photographs for a family occasion last week and I saw that both myself and my husband look decidedly YOUNGER that last year!

We don't really feel younger, difficult to assess because this is winter, we caught Covid, and memories are unreliable. But we DO look younger! Never mind the detox pains... After 2 years and 2 months.

It’s been just over a year since I’ve been on the low vitamin A.

Eyes still dry at night.

Burning of eyes has been gone and hasn’t come back.

no skin issues.

Hemorrhoids are finally gone.  Took nearly a year.

Lost weight I didn’t need to lose.

Ear still plugged up.

Overall the things that improved  this last year is regular BM, skin more tolerant of the sun, hemorrhoids gone.  No acid on eyes burning.

What has not improved is dry eyes at night.  Hadn’t gotten worse.

Other things that happened that wasn’t there before is plugged up ear, hair is dry.  Loss of about 15 lbs.  I could stand to gain about 7 lbs back.

Big changes was gained courage to move to a totally new environment which is much healthier.  So I guess mentally this  diet has helped the most.

This is about my unexplainable hearing loss in my left ear.  I finally got an MRI and shows a mass in my auditory canal.  Acoustic neuroma or vestibular schwannoma.  13” mm.

The good news is I read it is usually benign.

I wonder if there is anything I should change on the detox diet that will shrink this thing.  I think it could have something to do with that toxin A .

My eyes aren’t as dry.

My skin is good.

My kidneys are good.

plus I recently had an eye exam and shows no mole in my eye.   Several years ago I was diagnosed with a mole in my eye.  No mole now and my eyes are healthy despite this dryness at night.  And very little change in vision.  No better but just a slight change in one eye and I can use my old glasses as spares.

I wonder if I should do hard core detox food like Grant does.

With some minor changes this month  my progress is as follows:

when I place the landline phone to my left ear I can faintly hear it.  Before I couldn’t hear it.  I tested it again today and yes the dial tone is there.

Lots of sinus drainage and seemed to be not as bad this last week.   Lots of unanswered questions on why.  I never had ongoing allergies ever until late last year.  Maybe it isn’t allergies.

Eyes sometimes not so dry in early morning and sometimes dry as usual.   Mouth rarely dry anymore.

I feel a bit stronger.  Been taking hikes sometimes 3 miles and sometimes only 1.2 miles.  I try to do it at least 5 days a week.    I have increased more fat in my diet and included more berries.  Fortunately I have gained back a few pounds.  I can feel it and it’s good.

Maybe I will recover without a brain  surgery.  I will know more tomorrow as I have my first consult with a doctor that actually has expertise  in this tumor.  I have other consults lined up next month with experts.  In the meantime my hearing is improving.
