Quote from Ourania on January 3, 2023, 5:19 am@andrew-b You mean that choline and a low vA diet have fixed your sensitivity to free glutamate? In my book Grana Padano is just the same as parmigiano.

Quote from Andrew B on January 3, 2023, 5:34 am@ourania No, I dont think I had a glutamate issue. It's across the board every high fat I can digest better: butter, cheese, coconut, lard/fatty bacon, peanuts, cashews. Happened about month 7-8 on the choline replenishment. I was really astonished to find choline and low vit A solved this problem. Totally unexpected.

Quote from Hermes on January 3, 2023, 5:39 amIn all my tests (ever since going low vA) vitamin K2 was always on the lower side of the distribution. I've supplemented with it for some time now, usually topically. I can't say much about it. Today, I ingested some vitamin K2. If you google around, you notice that some argue how important vitamin K (and D and magnesium) are for sleep. Maybe vitamin K2 is especially important when the body detoxes vA? Vitamin K2 could be another agent supporting the parasympathetic system during detoxification.
There's an old thread on this forum about vitamin K2, worth checking it out: https://ggenereux.blog/discussion/topic/vitamin-k2/

Quote from Luisa on January 3, 2023, 6:49 pm@jiri I never needed high doses of vitamin k2, I tend to be scared of anything high doses. I take two of Trophic Vitamin K2 and I noticed the difference on my teeth right away. Even my breath changed.

Quote from Luisa on January 4, 2023, 6:25 am@jiri yes I noticed the difference on less sensitivity in like one week, but the very same day I noticed how my saliva kind of felt more alkaline, the surface of my teeth felt smoother. It was pretty quick, and yes that's the one I take.
I think the effects are very related to vitamin d status, also probably vitamin A as well, last summer when I was getting more sunlight exposure and having more vitamin A I felt like I needed more of it, I didn't take it but I just didn't feel my teeth as smooth.
My teeth are definitely fuller and firmer, they were becoming transparent too! I will try to see if I can find old pictures to compare, but I have taken this for a very long time, around 10 years. I still get some sensitivity with sweet fruits but it's because I got gum recession from all my previous teeth issues, they were getting loose, my dentist told me that I was close to having those teeth removed. Also I should mention pretty close to when I started using this I also started brushing my teeth with sensodyne, the sensitivity was insane, I honestly don't think it made much a difference but I think it's worth mentioning it.

Quote from Jiří on May 10, 2025, 4:53 am@itsme I think mk7 is definitely the way to go and not the synthetic mk4.. In my case I still have adrenal issues/copper toxicity which disregulates calcium metabolism as well. A lot of calcium, but low bioavalable calcium due to low magnesium, but I can't push magnesium because it lowers sodim whic is already low due to low adrenal function.. Basically me living in chronic stres over 20 years is killing me. It is crazy how you can live in chronic stress state without even knowing it because you are so long in it.. Anyways I am just describing why my teeth are not any better, but I know in normal scenario vit K2 mk7, magnesium, vit D(from the sun ideally) and around RDA of calcium from dairy(if you can tolerate) or from supplements like citrate is needed. Also keeping contact of acidic stuff with teeth as low as possible.. + good hydration so you have always good saliva production.. That I feel works even in my chronic stress state if I lower that stress even a little and don't do any stupid stuff like eating bunch of gummy bears all the time because I decide to ride a bike 3 hours a day or something like that. Sensitivity is gone, tartar is gone and my teeth are getting stronger and stronger.. I used to have crazy tartar on my teeth. You know that k2 mk7 is working when you have that smooth feeling on your teeth when you run over them with your tongue.. I did recently 200mcg daily of mk7 drops and it gave me bad eye twitches. K2 depleted magnesium too much.. SO I will start soon again, but 50-100mcg a day is plenty.. It is great, because mk7 really works and not just for tartar on tetth, but also calcified cardiovascular system and other soft tissues. YOu just need to make sure you are filled with magnesium as well..
