Eggs as part of Vitamin A reduction

I do have access to raw milk but have been afraid to consume it. My wife buys it often.

As with other problem foods I get a thick green post nasal drink and what feels like blockage of the sinuses from dairy.

It's a bizarre thing but very consistent for the past 8 years i'd say. Something that accutane has done to me.

Maybe i'll try tiny amounts of raw milk. Does this contain choline?

I wonder why you think lactoferrin is not such a good idea?

I have been taking it for several months and I am pretty sure it helped me get rid of my nicotine gum addiction, and also I dont feel the urge to drink a glass of wine after work anymore really....

 

Maybe my moms home made spelt bread with butter on it is not such a bad idea after all then.. I hope so, because I could live off of it - it tastes so good....

@inger I said raw milk (@lee because it has choline and other factors) is a better way than lactoferrin alone. I'm not saying lactoferrin is a bad idea. It just doesnt work for some people. Severe reactions for some. I think raw milk in small amounts would be better than lactoferrin alone.

Maybe this would explain why the budwig protocol works.  The cottage cheese (quark) would be made from raw milk, and the amount used daily is a small amount.

Yes, the proper concepts..... Only the ones Dr Smith thinks are important. For the record I dont run the Vitamin A toxicity Facebook group, @josh and I are the admins. It was a group started by @elizabethw. The group is  based on the research and publications of Grant Genereux. Grant Genereux is searching for something to help make the detox easier and more manageable for everybody. That is what I think choline and probably specifically eggs do. I have been eating eggs throughout the detox and now eating 4 eggs a day I think it's been even better whilst still detoxing strongly. Dr Smith had people taking 30,000 IUs of Vitamin A for 4 years despite increasing health problems. Now he's objecting to 300 IUs in an egg yolk. A factor of 100 times different. 

My Vitamin A is somewhere between 1,000 IUs and 1,500 IUs per day. The 62 year old man Dr Weber study with liver results from 1982 showed you could detox on 4,000 IUs. We suspect he was eating eggs or even whey protein powder with choline. Fruit and vegetables served me well on the Vitamin A reduction. I dont believe small relative amounts of polyphenols define fruits, beans and vegetables with them in. There are many aspects to foods: good and bad. Helping the gut microbiome. Perhaps even helping certain enzyme reactions in various pathways. Dr Smith putting a voodoo curse on me wont prevent me detoxing and healing. I look forward to his Twitter egg thread overturning the 15 posts I have made and over 50 studies I have found supporting choline and betaine. The Japanese live longest and they eat nearly 1 egg per day on average but I would never claim 1 or 2 eggs a day were significant parts of a diet. If Dr Smith wishes to claim that 1-2 eggs a day are a significant part of diet then more fool him. He certainly doesnt think 1-2 tablespoons of butter per day with more vitamin A matter.

Since adding an egg back in daily I've noticed mild liver 'twinges' are happening again which other fats in moderation do not give me. I remember I used to get this feeling closer to the beginning of this diet a couple of years ago. I am wondering if it is related to bile leakiness? Or excess bile production? Any thoughts?

@audrey I too noticed mild mild twinges about the liver when increasing to 4 eggs a day. There's a few things in eggs: good selenium, good folate, excellent choline, even a little vitamin E plus sphingomyelin. Sphingomyelin is high in eggs and might be responsible for the bile ducts nearest the liver. Improving methylation factors like choline, phospholipids and folate could show up as big changes in the liver and gallbladder. Things hopefully settle down after a bit. It took about a month for things to settle for me but then I'd always been having 1-2 eggs a day before moving to 4.  https://www.jlr.org/article/S0022-2275(20)32033-2/fulltext

eggs is not my definition of a "healthy food" high in selenium yes but selenium restriction diet increase longevity,high in methionine methionine restriction also increase longevity ,high in choline one of the central factor that cause depression for many people acetylcholinesterase inhibitors is everywheres and cause a buildup of acetylcholine in the brain choline  is  produced endogenously by the body  and for me it's more than enough, phosphorous is more important to get for lecithin production among others ,egg is also full of questionable carotenoides like lutein and canthaxanthin that also inhibits acetylcholinestare and can worsen mood depending of your sensitivity
