See omega 3 thread. Listen to Peskin. LA is actually great. My skin continues to improve after adding back walnuts and almonds.

I think Peskin is a hack. All unsaturated fats make me react bad to carbohydrates.

The black and white nonsense about fats should stop. I have seen increased satiation by using more polyunsaturated fats.

I do see a difference in metabolism depending on the source though. Packaged foods with lots of PUFA are king at messing my energy.

You eat whatever you feel like but I get bad symptoms from carbohydratess when I eat a bunch of unsaturated fat. I think Peskin should stop peddling his snake oil.

I was very into Ray Peat's work from 2013-2018 and I'm still active in the community. He makes good arguments for avoiding pufa but what I realized after eating low A for several months was that nothing else seemed to really bother me. I'm certain I blamed pufa and a few other things for my poor health when it was really VA all along. I can eat no pufa or lots of pufa and it doesn't matter. People think eating low A is restrictive but for me it's been the exact opposite. I can definitely eat a wider variety of foods now than when I was obsessing over pufa. I completely respect the fact that different people feel better eating certain fats though.

I'm with @bella, I did a full year of zero fat diet, so as close to 0% PUFA as possible for a full year.  I was hoping for results similar to zero vitamin A and robust health, by purging body and liver of PUFA, but no real direct benefits.

My only thought is that liquid PUFA oils only entered the food chain, about ~100yrs ago, so I don't think they are safe consumed in large amounts as daily staples, PUFA from nuts, meats, low vitamin A plants seem to be a safer bet.

I'm supposing you've had a real bad experience on the RPF forum, but really you shouldn't be blaming the forum, you are responsible for actually listening to all kind of advice from strangers over the Internet. Hatred is actually quite unhealthy on its own. Start owning your decisions and stop blaming others when something is not working. There's a lot of bad stuff over there, but there are also some interesting alternative health views.

Nothing ever good ever came out of ray peat.

Do the opposite of what he says and you will be great

Dont drink milk

Dont eat liver

Eat some fish

Eat some nuts

Dont live a sedentary lifestyle while increasing calories

Dont take thyroids

Dont take aspirins

Dont go crazy on coffee

Like I said cenile

Where have you heard me blaming anyone. Don't project. I am after what works. Ray peat is garbage. If it can help people then the anti peatards shouts need to be even louder. It's so outside the mainstream I guess that nobody bothers thoroughly debunking this insane quack

Nobody was even talking about Ray Peat before you started going on your tirade. You don't seem very healthy if you're this irrtitable all the time. How much money have you spent on Peskins snake oil?

Are nuts manufactured by peskin

How many supplements have you bought following peatards advice

How many cups of coffee

Bringing up pufa debate here is perfectly reasonable. You dismissing peskin while bigging up the father of all quacks ray peat is funny

By the way selling something doesn't make you wrong

You are committing a logical fallacy.
