Quote from Liz on April 29, 2019, 9:36 pmQuote from Rachel on April 29, 2019, 11:07 amThanks Josh. I have Garretts vit A package I'm just having trouble finding oils / fats that fit his criteria. The oils he recommends are not available in the UK.
I use Kung Markatta brand. Unsure if you have it in UK though. Their oils are organic and if processed/refined, done so with water steam and not harsh chemicals. Although I mainly boil or oven bake, and dont fry much. If I fry, i use a very tiny amount in a ceramic pan. I would not fry in cold pressed sunflower oil, but I do use the refined high oleic version in very small amounts occationally. Hope that can be of help.
My parents use butter though and they are not strict overall but are seeing benefits too. But I react poorly to butter and refined coconut oil. Tastes so darn good though!!!

Hey John, still taking udo? Any positive benefits? I barely started but gave it up, remembering how badly I react to soy and budwig protocol, I am too afraid to take the risk of endo growing back :/

Thanks Liz,
I think I've finally found a supply of sunflower oil. It is sold as a skin care / cosmetics ingredient but is organic and high oleic. I have contacted the company and they confirm that although it is not sold as a food product it is technically food quality.
I probably worry too much, I just want to get things as good as I can with appropriate foods as I have such a lot of healing to do!

Hi Liz - I'm using Flora's sunflower oil for Omega 6, plus a bit of their hemp oil for the Omega 3 part of the equation. Mostly because of how important they are for building cell membranes, among other things. Nothing in particular to report. I also take liposomal Phosphatidyl Choline from BodyBio and also from QuickSilver. That has helped cognition for me and my 93 year old mother-in-law. Per the hemp oil label - each TBSP gives: 7 grams of Omega 6 - 2.5 grams of Omega 3 - 2.o grams of Omega 9 - 500 mg of GLA - 250 mg of Omega 3 SDA. I alternate the two, and don't supplement every day with them. Interestingly, the thing that has proven itself more than anything else, including red/infrared sessions, is a bed sheet that has some silver thread and a grounding lug. Charge is important, especially for those of us in northern climes. Here's a piece of the puzzle from a guy who might go down in history. http://milesmathis.com/solen.pdf I've been reading his updates on this and they correlate with how I've been feeling. If you can plow through it, there's light at the end of the tunnel for us in the next few months. It might help folks on the blog here understand set-backs they've experienced for reasons other than diet. Hang in there my friend. Oh yeah, we also elevated the head of our bed by about 5 inches and it's pretty cool, other than a bit of a slide most nights. Helps with moving digestive stuff in the right direction. Also using a lot of charcoal and bentonite, early morning and late night, and I can tell the difference when I remember to do them. Also using a good bit of liposomal glutathione and my liver seems to be functioning better. And last but not least, I don't think I ever mentioned that I use a mini-trampoline regularly (one day recently for 4 hours while I watched YouTube documentaries). It's great for the lymphatic system. I'm going to try Chris Shade's QuickSilver liver detox package called PushCatch. I watch all of his videos and I think it's worth using combo formulas designed to match what the science is telling us about the various enzymatic and other pathways. As always, the proof's in the pudding, so I'll let you know how it goes there.

Hi Bella - yes, I ran across it a couple months ago and I like it a lot. I haven't watched all the videos available, just read a page or two and thought it made a lot of sense. I see on a web-search that there's a lot of buzz on the benefits. My wife said, "what did you do now" when she first saw it, but I think she's on board with it too, in fact I think she's sleeping a lot better, but it might be the grounding mattress sheet too. I know I'm sleeping a lot better and don't really want to hop right out of bed when I wake up like I have done for years. It's like another ten or twenty minutes of slow wake-up feels really good, so I ease into a new day that way. Glad to hear you're having great results. It's funny how simple it is. I just used stacked 2x6's cut short to raise the end. See ya!

Quote from Liz on April 30, 2019, 10:08 pmThank you John for that update 😀
It sounds very interesting, i'll check out the link for sure :). I eat sunflower seeds for vit E and omega 6, and walnuts occationally for omega 3. Totally forgot I do have a separate GLA oil too. Thanks for reminding me :D. My cycle has been effed up since surgery, last one was 17 days long only which is ridiculous. Sure considering their brutal treatment of my inner lady parts, some abnormality was expected but not like this! Will have to try to fix it back to 28 days somehow... I know GLA has helped many with ie pms and pain so that might be of use somehow.
Maybe you should have a separate thread as well with all your trials? I'd surely follow it!

Quote from Liz on April 30, 2019, 10:11 pmJust to give a visual of what detox can look like. Skin and feet are so so much better now, but I still take weekly or bi-weekly foot baths.
This is a pic of what my skin looks like when I am in a detox cycle. Flaky and powdery. This is taken feb 24 and that was last time it was that flaky.
Also a pic of feet. I tired of waiting it to go away by itself so I started weekly bicarbonate foot baths with pimp stone (same in english?) file. My feet were NOT this awful pre-vitA diet and are much improved. Foot is from jan 2nd.
Bottom foot is from now, may 1st. 2 weeks since last foot bath. A bit rough still but I am positive this will go away too eventually.
