My progress
Quote from Liz on May 21, 2019, 10:09 pmThings are really not going my way.
I ended up in the hospital again after ca 2 weeks of very high fever coming and going (40 c) which turned out to be a uvi spread to the kidney due to the blockage in my urether that was supposedly "still there but not causing issues", which i had been notified about just weeks prior, so I did not connect my symtoms with kidney at all.
So, blockage is back and they dont know if it is endometriosis or something else. My kidney is malfunctioning plus severely inflamed so I now have a nephrostomy to take the preassure off and am on hefty antibiotics, first IV for 3,5 days and now as pills (ciprofloxacin).
I have had the nephrostomy for one week now and kidney still hurts. I will have it 2 more weeks then we will make some tests again. If blockage is not gone by then, I will need surgery to move urether to another place to avoid blockage. This surgery is quite severe with a long revovery time as the bladder will be sown onto the psoas muscle permanently. But if kidney has not recovered and is still not working well, they will have it removed instead as the trauma might have permanently damaged it. But they are uncertain if I can have surgery at all due to endo, if it grows back it will be in vain since I dont want to take menopause hormones to suppress it (and suppress my quality of life).
The doctor dont think the blockage will go away by itself. Shd think I will need surgery and if so I will have to start living with synthetic hormones.
I am so scared. I am scared to lose my kidney. I am scared to have surgery. I am scared to take hormones. And if that was not enough, i keep on getting every single virus out there since starting antibiotics. When I was released from hospital it was in my throat giving me a horrible cough which hurt like heck with the tube in my back. Yesterday cough went away and now I have a horrible cold instead, sneezing and dripping with inflamed sinuses. I just want a fxxxing break!
Good thing : blood preassure is back to normal /low, from being in the upper normal 12-6 months ago so that is cool. I have gotten more strict with foods too, esp my weakness dark chocolate and leg skin is not as powdery anymore. Lips get flaky back and forth so shit is going on for sure still.
Zeolite update : at hospital I saw hb has sunk to low 100's, i suspect it is binding the little iron I have and need myself. So I have stopped taking it for now, also concidering my impaired kidney function i want to spare the poor thing as much as possible.

Quote from Liz on May 23, 2019, 5:48 amThank you DWL. Hopefully something good will come out of this in the end.
So, I just discovered lizard skin has appeared again, on the side. It looks a bit freaky 😂 Legs still dry but not powdery (i have had dry legs for as long as I can remember).
Doesn't it look a bit like sunburn-peeling?
Edit: now I have it on left side as well. Just a couple of hours later. There is a bizarre dry line that crosses my stomach.

You will adapt. It's not the end of the world. You will learn to cope and come to terms with whatever new reality awaits. I have no doubt.

So I just came back from the hospital. We were checking the flow today, which means you lay under an xray while contrast is injected into the "kidney tube". I got the same doctor that put it in but he promised not to inflict the same amount of pain this time.
He said it would hurt and when it does to let him know, because he needs to get the contrast past the blockage into the bladder.
It didnt hurt! And the doctor goes, all surprised "well i'll be damned, it is coming through nicely". So the blockage is gone, I ask. No, he says, and show me the picture. Where the urether is thick, and underneath is thin. The thin part is the normal size. The thick part indicates there is a blockage. But he could not explain the smooth flow of the contrast. He was guessing maybe it is a hormonal thing since it is endometriosis tissue that is blocking.
Or maybe I am getting my miracle...
The surgery is still on, but looks like kidney is safe. Phew. What i would give to have them open me up just to find nothing wrong at all 🙏😁
To be continued...
And also, this A detox sure is a long process. I am about 7 months in now and today i discovered that one of the dark hairs stuck in a mole I have next to my ear, has grown out white. I tend to pluck them off as they grow out. Now it has come out white. Guess I am waiting for it to come back out dark again. Something to look out for at least.
I am also back on zeolite since today. Kidney is safe now so might as well, i will just not do the 3 teaspoons a day but stick to lower dose to see if I can escape possible anemia.
Edit : I want to add that I have had increased nightly sweats for the past 3-4 weeks. Sweating like a marathon runner and only during the night. I thought it was hornonal the first week but when period came and went and sweating remained, I thought it might be a detox thing. I remember dr G has listed somewhere changes in sweat, whether it being amount or odor, is an expected detox symtom. I am starting to have a feeling I wont be done detoxing for at least another ten years or so 😂
Thanks Josh 👍🏻

This is what helped my night sweats, that were an ongoing event over the last decade. Simple to try, and hopefully safe for you with kidney issues. Getting extra or more potassium. ~4.5 grams of potassium is the daily RDA, I find that when I didn't get this = mega night sweats. I think most of us do not hit the RDA. I think this balances against sodium in the cell, and the body doesn't need to sweat like crazy to balance it.
So now I just mix up a bottle of water with potassium and magnesium chloride, so that a sip would have about 2grams of K, and take a sip in the morning and sip before bed. This finally ended all night sweats.
Glad to hear the kidney is safe!
