@jiri @lil-chick thanks for the feedback.   I forgot about rebounding, remember that being helpful for circulation.

A friend has a full swollen foot out of nowhere, and definitely not going away, docs have been useless, quick search show it is 100% lymphedema, so trying to figure out some home remedies.  I see there are registered lymph massage therapist in our area, so wondering if that is the best approach(must be a blockage somewhere).  They eat quite low VA, due to my advice 🙂 but will suggest maybe trying some citrates to help kidneys, and keeping alkaline.

@orion If I understand it correctly citric acid is neutral in the body because the body will use that citric acid to make bicarbonate and that bicarbonate will be used to neutralized that acid. But when that citric acid is reacted it's citrate and that's alkaline in the body becaues it will give the body extra bicarbonate without that acid load. So for example mixing some baking soda(without aluminium) mixing into citrus juice. For example lemon juice. It taste really good. It has bubbles and nice refreshing taste.. You can add some sugar like some honey and you have great "electrolyte drink" with potassium, vit C, sodium.. You just have to figure out the ratio so that acid is fully neutralized and without unreacted baking soda at the same time.. Also keeping in mind that the reaction when you mix for example juice from 3 lemons with 1 level tsp of baking soda is very wild and there is a lot of expansion and bubbles. So it is good idea to mix it in big bottle. After the reaction you just shake it and the excess of bubbles disappears. After that you add some extra water(in the morning it better body temperature and during the summer when cold taste really good.. 🙂 So that is just one nice dietary hack. But apart from that of course we all know what we need to do and not do. No garbage processed foods, no smoking, alcohol, plenty of potassium, magnesium and calcium and proper posture with breathing to keep the body away from acidosis with respiration.. That's why for example athletes can eat so much sugar and don't be in crazy acidosis. They CO2 turnover is insane.. For that leg edema I would do a lot of "cycling" laying on your back with legs up. Great exercise and keeps fluids pulling towards the body.. There has to be some blockage for sure..

@orion Hi!    I've been having trouble with foot cramping (again) and re-read one of Ourania's posts about how heat helps move lymph.     I wonder if your friend would have benefits from keeping his problematic areas *much warmer* so that the lymph can move more easily.

For instance, I've never had a foot cramp while wearing ugg boots.

@lil-chick No change through the warm summer months, but I would guess the cold winter months not helping now.  She has been using compression sock daily and with sleep.   Hoping a local lymph massage therapist will be able to alleviate some swelling.

Seems surgery to remove blockages is another venue, hoping it doesn't have to get to that point.

@orion yesterday I was astounded at the change in warm hands and feet that a breathing technique did.  

The technique is about at minute 8:00.   It's so simple.     He talks kind of slow because I think English might be a second language.   The vid can be sped up.   A quick YouTube search will also show that he has several vids on the subject.   Personally the stress idea doesn't resonate with me, I'm not a stress head.   But I have had breathing issues that I have called "asthma" which are maybe just wrong breathing.

I'm re-reading the Dino thread, and sitting here realizing how different I feel as I fiddle with my breathing.    I think this could actually be dangerous, and that is one of the things Dino mentioned.

Got the book back then, and did the monk breathing exercises, doesn't seem to have lasting effect, but fun stuff to try!

You are familiar with hackstasis forum right? Where they talked a lot about histidine, B6 etc.. Look into histidine and eczema... I think this HG7 protocol depletes all kinds of stuff since it is just 6 essential micronutrients in very high doses. It has to have effect on the other ones that you guys don't take. So some of you may run low in protein like amino acid histidine..

@jiri  Hey, I don't have eczema, just really oily skin which in turn causes breakouts, but it is slowly getting better and better.  The protocol put sebum production in overdrive, due to the biotin.  Slow process, but I can see the progress.

I remember pounding all the different isolated aminos back in the hackstasis days, still have bags of them somewhere in the house 🙂

@orion are you still eating low vit A? Do you have some blood testing of serum retinol? I will do my first blood test next week after 7 years of low vit A lol. I wonder if I am not already low.. ChatGPT keeps telling me that it is really important for ceruloplasmin heh. I have serious issues from low serum copper.. But If I antagonize copper I feel like shit. If I eat copper I feel like shit.. I think if I can kick start bile flow with TUDCA that I will try again I will try EGCG if that really increases free copper which I can easily test. So I could take copper antagonists and not feel like I am dying lol.. That would be great..
