The worst parasites still readily infect those eating herbs and spices.
Avoiding animal contact, avoiding unboiled off grid water, avoiding wetlands, avoiding salad consumption, practising good hygiene, poisoning household ants and avoiding third world countries is how one minimises parasite risk.
With pets, dogs carry the most risk as they can be infected with diseases like rabies and hydatids in many countries.

Thank you for all the participation here. I found lots of old-fashioned remedies on Earth Clinic. I mention that because it used to be easy to find websites like Earth Clinic and now it isn't, so you kind of have to already know that sites like Earth Clinic exist. Sometimes I end up somewhere weird trying to find it. In my searching I also found out that the FDA closed down one supplement company's traditional parasite herbal remedy recently (humaworm).
I've read that ivermectin has been used almost as often, in this world, as aspirin. It appears loads of people took it for covid. I did read about one guy who was taking ivermectin regularly and died. I think he was taking it daily in hopes to help his Lyme disease. He died of a swollen heart. But it's hard to know if the drug helped kill him or if he was heading there anyways. I do agree that all cures are dangerous in some way, or else they wouldn't be strong enough to help you. I think that all cures are best taken sort of "surgically" with time off. I think the fact that ivermectin is taken regularly in 3rd world countries, and on farm animals, we'd know if it was dangerous and I think it probably IS a "wonder" drug, as long as you use it carefully.
Above someone mentioned getting the ova test of the stool and that came out negative for my friend, even though VISIBLE worms were in the sample. doc: "lalalalala". My friend is going to get a microscope to do her own diagnosis! If she is reading this, you go girl!
And, yes, untreated stream water was taken and is probably the source of the parasites.
I have a close relative who grew up in a 3rd world country and told him about my friend's troubles and he said he was treated for worms as a child and "everyone gets worms".
I think this thread has calmed me down about worrying that VA might be important in keeping parasite loads down. But I do think that OTHER plant poisons might be important, and traditional. Such as those in spices and herbs and traditional parasite remedies.
Good point, I never think about that because in general I want to help people not hurt them so I usually assume the best for people unless I think they are selling something. This guy didn't seem malicious, but his behavior in the last yr or so has been different, he started using rapamycin and is aging backwards. Anyway I will do better about not believing everyone's stories.
Yeah I find dogs and cats disgusting honestly, it's a really unpopular opinion as people treat their dogs especially as miniature humans, but I was the one to clean up my Mom's dog when it would poop outside and get it all over it's fur (she did not take care of our home well), and I bought a house once that we didn't know had cat urine all over the corners, took a lot to get that smell out.

Back then it was keratinized skin, organs and eyes. But the infant who died back then was severely malnourished as well!!! We have very few documented cases of vitamin A deficiency blindness without malnourishment. In fact are there any? I think there was one of a boy who lived on chicken nuggets and bread, he was developing eye problems.
Anthelmintics have potential as cancer treatments so an agent could be assigned to delegitimize and demoralize them in the eyes of health seekers or create anecdotes of irresponsible usage for the media to then run with.

I already wasn't fond of dogs generally but after I learned more about canine parasites and I started noticing dog poo more in public places I started to dislike dogs and dog owners.

Hulda Clark's theory was interesting, that heavy metals and other toxins make parasites even more problematic.
Either way both heavy metal toxicity and parasitic infection are important root causes of disease.
Maybe I'm confusing anthelmintics with anti fungals.
