@donald What type of diet or you eating ? What macro/kcal ? Not that it's the endgame, but I've been wondering.

Also, did you checked your blood sugar after meals with carbs (like 80g of carbs from fruits for instance) ? Either with a CGM or with a classic finger prick but at 10,15,30min and then 1h after a meal ? It can seems a bit overkill, but my particular blood sugar shot very high very quickly (10-15min after a meal) and fall down quickly also (within 30m) so if I would have not check 10-15m after a meal I never would have known (all lab marker are otherwise good)

No clue about kcal, eat when I'm hungry. 1-3 times per day. Not often I would get above 80g of carbs anyway, not unless I eat a "trash" meal like pizza. Never been a big fan of fruit in my youth, is a lot more pallatable to me lately though. Diet consists mainly of beans, small piece of meat (pork or beef), salted pork fat, onions, some other low VA vegetables occasionally. Should probably diversify it a bit or check whether or not I'm running into obvious vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

I have checked my blood sugar in the  past with a pin prick tester. All seemed fine back then. Many years ago though. What are the implications of your blood sugar shooting up that high so quickly after a meal? I have suspected issues myself before, sweet breath after eating meals. Don't have that anymore though.

@donald Noted about the food ! Yeah I would have normal BG with meals like this (beans + meat + veg) - actually, beans were awesome as a carb to carb comparison for my blood sugar. Much better than any fruit or whole grains. I have stopped eating them because I think any starch was worsening my pso.

Blood sugar rising too high (tho healthy spikes that doesnt go over 140-150 is perfectly normal and needed, don't listen the keto crazy), even tho it comes back down quickly, raise too much insulin usually creating inflammation through upregulation of certain pathways. Mine can shoot to 160-180 very easily with grains and fruits, with a "normal" amount where other people don't go over 140 with the same meal or even more carbs.

When you checked your BG, was it with the meals you're eating now ? (beans, meat, veg)

Thank you for your explanation. But no, the blood glucose test was many years ago. I had a standard western diet of pizza, bread, veggies, meat, pastries, potatoes, processed foods etc.

Posting this here for myself for later:

Among the six bile acids tested, kale preferentially bound hydrophobic bile acids chenodeoxycholic acid and deoxycholic acid.

I ate quite a bit of kale when I was psoriasis free.

Interesting about the kale. I imagine it is due to kale having more fiber, especially insoluble fiber.

Hey Mat

Your timing is impeccable. I was actually thinking of making an update one of these days. Not much going on, just doing liver flushes still. A slow and steady progress, but I can tolerate way more foods than before. Nothing big coming out the past few flushes, only small stuff. Two times in between flushes I had a little twinge in the liver area, after that I had a bowel movement that seemed to have a parasite/worm/egg in there. Once I passed them it quieted down a bit more.

After a fattier meal I sometimes have bowel movements that smell just like psoriasis, that also gives me reddish skin near the colon area when the bolus is there. Very stinky stools. The night before I get this bowel movement I have slightly foamy urine. And after this movement I feel a lot better.

My conclusion when I came to this forum might've been wrong. I don't think it was vitamin A  that caused my issues, but higher fat. Bile that could go nowhere. My high vitamin A sources were always very fatty or taken with fat. That being said I'll never touch liver or sweet potatoes again, and carrots as condiments at the most. And I will avoid products with bèta carotene added as a food colouring (which is.... a lot of products).

Still thinking of doing a fecal matter transplant once my liver is clear of stones. Dysbiosis for 17 years might not be fixed solely by creating an environment where everything is digested properly. Doing a fecal matter transplant too early will be wasted money I think. If I keep giving the bad bacteria/fungus/yeasts their nutrition (undigested food) by not having proper bileflow. Chicken and the egg story.

I hope all is well with you and you see some progress as well. Even if it is slow...

Hi @donald !

Thanks for your feedback; I'm just seeing your reply now.

I'm basically doing the same thing while experimenting with several other small experiments within the same framework of liver flush.

Can I ask what you do for prep? And what does your LF procedure look like? What diet are you on at the moment?

Also, I usually flush every 2-3 weeks. I've tried sooner, but it's a hassle. What do you do?

To me, what people call "stones" are basically cholestasis bile more than stones. I'm currently talking with people who have done more than 100 already. All have made great progress, so that's encouraging but... long! lol

Best,

Mat

Sorry for the late reply Mat,

I am doing absolutely fine. Still not fully fixed health wise but it has been a consistent upward trend.

Just haven't felt the need to argue with internet strangers over insignificant things. Which is what I feel mostly happens here on the forums (not you).

I kept doing a liver flush every 3 weeks, the Andreas Moritz protocol. I switched to 1 per month, 3 months ago. I basically eat everything. Beans are a staple though. I tolerate wheat better. Tolerate meat better. Eat some rice once in a while. I avoid processed like the plague. Eat some fruit once in a while.

1 year 3 months after starting and I still got rid a thumbnail sized one. After a few flushes with just smaller stuff.

Had my last flush Saturday 1st of June. Which is 1 year and 5 months after starting flushing. The last 3-4 flushes I only got a few smaller sized stones (except that one two months ago). But this last flush I passed a round stone 3,0 cm in diameter. That thing looked absolutely huge. One about 2,5cm long 1 cm wide. Several as large as my thumbnail again. And so so so many small ones and a lot of chaff. Let's see what health improvements this will bring. Imagine if I thought I was done because of the little results I had the few flushes before.

Whether it's a "stone", "congestion", "putty", or "sludge". I don't really care what to name it, it doesn't belong there and I am 100% certain it's coming from the liver/gallbladder.

I really do wonder if and how much is still stuck in me.

Hope you are doing fine too and have had some health progress in whatever form.

Hi Donald ! Its been a while, nice to have news from you.

Yes I agree, I rarely go on forum, except to exchange with a couple of people about experiences, like you.

I'm basically doing the flushes as well, but I feel that they are not getting me where I want to be. I did flush #40 last week (I do one per month now too), and sadly, my psoriasis has not changed at all yet. I have found that using 1g of malic acid with every meal improves my transit time a lot, even when using a lot of charcoal (like 10g twice per day). I have two, sometimes three, nice bowel movements per day.

It also dramatically improved the flush outcomes, as I always have huge "stones" (usually deep green ones). On the day prior to the flush for the prep, I just go from 1g of malic acid three times per day to 5-6 times per day.

I'm trying other strategies in parallel. I can't talk about them too much yet, but I will keep you posted on this thread if you're interested (and if it works, haha).

Anyway, I'm glad that your psoriasis is improving. Let's keep ourselves posted on this thread from time to time ?

Best to you !

I'll have to try some more malic acid next time. Not sure when I'll do my next one though. I just ordered some poop online and took it 4 days ago. Want it to settle for at least 2 months before I disturb the place again.

https://gezonde-darmflora.nl/

I ordered DF6. It was quite the meal to get those 24 capsules down with water.

Yeah you can post here, or your own thread. I'll try and read wherever and whenever. I bet others are interested in you as well. I'll post every half year to year for sure. Give a little update that I'm not dead.

So the FMT poop pills are another thing I'm trying. Just with you I think the flushes aren't enough. I don't want to try and change too many things up either for replicability's sake. But I really need this to clear out fast, I have gotten some female attention and I have to look my best!

The bowel movement improvement is what I've had as well. I notice when I have 1-3 good bowel movements the psoriasis is better. And when it's to the more constipated side it's itchier and redder.
