Sussan's log

Hi Sussan, I have ear symptoms and I think others here do too.    They seem to vary somewhat from person to person.  I have mild vertigo and tinnitus and itching and sometimes ringing and sometimes a feeling of fullness or pressure.  Also crackling with jaw movement.

In the first week or so of lowered VA one of my ears quacked!  it woke me up from a deep sleep.  Pretty bizzare.  The ear that quacked is somewhat less problematic, maybe the quacking was good LOL.

I can see how inflamed inner ears might not react too well to changes in elevation.

I can remember even as a teen having ringing ears after travel, having travel sickness etc.   My theory is that the longer your VA symptom has been around, the longer it is going to take to heal.  So who knows whether I might be stuck with this for quite a while.

Hopefully since your problems are new they will go away.

I've noticed less earwax than pre-Grant days.  My earwax is very dry and I think some of it is like peeling skin (which wouldn't surprise me, since all my skin seems to want to peel because of detox).    It mustn't be very easy for ears to detox.

I've posted a few videos about tinnitus, one was about a positional therapy, another was about tapping behind the ear.  I haven't really instituted either as a practice.  I've also heard zinc helps some of these problems with ears, but had no luck the day I tried zinc!  I have to try that again (but not on an empty stomach!)

The last 3 mornings after waking and at night as well I have had no dry mouth.  This is good progress.  I still have the dry eyes.

The ears aren't as bad. I have been getting sinus drainage and maybe the saline nasal spray has helped along with the off and on use of the allergy antihistamine nasal spray.

I am under a lot of stress right now but seem to be handling it better than expected mentally.  Another good thing  is I feel like I am tolerating the heat better  and it is really hot this week.

I like to post positive things about my progress.  The dry eyes are still a pain but not as bad since no acid on them anymore.

Progress continues though with a minor set back and adjustments this last week.

I was using a nasal saline spray to try to drain the stuff that feels like is making my hearing muffled.  I also was using a antihistamine but not regularly.  Well, something was draining but then I felt my throat seemed to feel like it was burned so I quit all that and have quickly recovered from that.  I no longer use the nasal sprays.

I experimented with B1 and B2 (very low doses) and tried them separately and together and as a result I believe it caused my eyes to start getting bad again with itchy and irritation and all day dryness which haven't had for a long time during the daytime.  When I stopped  my eyes quickly recovered.

Sleep is fairly good.  My mouth isn't dried up in the morning upon rising.

Under a lot of stress right now because trying to change my housing.  Hopefully it will happen but things are very uncertain right now.  I guess I thought the B vitamins would help during stress but didn't.  Better off to tough it out.

Stress and change. I think vA is related to both. I suspect vA is carrying some types of memories forward into the future, memories from our lives. When some vA disappears, we change the related memories to neutral memories (memories change after every episode of recall, this is well known). I noticed that the consequences in my life of bad past events, indirect though they may be, disappear too!

People reappearing in my life after a long time of separation, scars fading ultra fast, bones growing to where they should have grown etc.

I suppose this is the same process that brings hereditary traits into our body over generations. My husband is 57 years old but now looks like an adolescent in some respects. Not 11 years old yet!

All this goes with a strange urge to put things right, to reclaim not only our glorified body but also the circumstances of our life we have been deprived of by the poisoning.

Take it easy though @sussan

It’s been slightly over 5 months since starting the low vitamin A program. I have lost 10 lbs.  not that I need to lose weight though this is what I weighed in high school.  I have to change some of my clothes to different size now.

Hearing is still muffled but tolerable.  My TMJ has improved and I have not been doing facial exercises.  When I yawn my jaw isn’t locking up.  Yay!

Scalp isn’t itching like crazy.  I wash it fairly regularly and hair seems healthy.

Mouth isn’t dried up when I wake in morning.

Eyes still dry.  I still spray them with salty misty water early morning.  But I am hoping with time it will clear up.

Sleep is better than 5 months ago.

Going through a lot of changes and uncertainty getting rid of sludge on the outside and inside .

Well done @sussan The same jaw thing happened to me a few years ago. It stopped with TTFD supplementation, which shows that B1 and retinoids are linked. It never came back.

All the best!

@ourania

What was your dosing of TTFD and did you experience any of those "paradox" negative reactions when you were using it?

I've been testing out various forms of thiamine for about 7 months now, and I seem to get a weird response to both Benfotiamine and TTFD.  About 2 or 3 hours after taking it, I start feeling kind of out of it and slightly hypoglycemic.  It's really difficult to do anything physical in that state, and it's although more difficult to think clearly.  It makes me want to just not do anything.  It also seems like my lower colon and/or anal sphincter stops working properly during the night after I take thiamine, because I wind up with intestinal gas that feels like it should come out as a fart, but my body just refuses to relax the sphincter to let it out.  This pretty much only happens at night, and usually later in the night around 2:00 or 3:00.  Then when I get up the next morning the gas comes out without much problem.  So it seems like a problem with the autonomic nervous system.

I've seen some people suggest that the "paradox" reactions might be the result of the body revving up the use of thiamine when it gets a sudden influx of it, and then when it uses it up really quickly you suddenly are left with a relative deficit of thiamine that results in worsening of the symptoms you were trying to treat with it.

A while ago on this forum, I had wondered if high dose thiamine acts as an antioxidant and slows the elimination of Vitamin A.  I've definitely changed my mind...I now think, like you said, thiamine is integral to getting Vitamin A out, and it seems to speed up the detox when I supplement with it in higher amounts.  In my own case, I am wondering if thiamine deficiency from eating tons of unfortified white rice for years was a major cause of my Vitamin A toxicity.

@wavygravygadzooks I did not experience unpleasant effects from thiamine, except when I tried thiamine HCL in my first attempt at thiamine supplementation. It left me extremely nervous and hyped even at a very low dose so I stopped it entirely.

I had started a thiamine thread here  so you can search for it in which I explain in detail what I did.

https://ggenereux.blog/discussion/topic/thiamine-story/

The bad effects I got I identify now with vA detox reactions. Thiamine has been a huge help, and I realize that I had always been thiamine deficient, maybe for genetic reasons, but also because my diet and way of life were leading to it. The life choices I made were a sure way to poison myself with vA, directly with high fish consumption, chilies, orange fruit and veg but also not directly by thiamine destruction strategies like sunbathing, raw fish and other thiaminase projects.

I was doing what felt good immediately, not realizing I was stopping immediate detox and storing up poison for the future.

When detox started pretty bad after a few months of lipophilic thiamine I met with Grant’s ideas and I could progress one notch above what I had understood. Thiamine and vA is a story of egg and hen in my case. Which came first? I now believe that it came from before my birth, before my conception even. This is a genetic loss of balance we carry over from our forebears BUT we do not have to. It can be fixed in our lifetime.

I started back working again so been busy.  10 lbs lighter and less toxins in my body makes a happier person.  So I’ve heard the word at work that I seem happier.

I lost most hearing in my left ear.  Before the low vitamin A diet I noticed my hearing in both ears were muffled and had some strange things going on with my hearing.  But the hearing seems normal in my right ear now.  I went to a regular doctor and no wax buildup.  I am trying the Flonase now and have had drainage from my sinuses.  I imagine it’s been festering for a while.  The drainage is quite unpleasant.  I’m wondering if our body holds things in as a protective measure to avoid too much release of bacteria or toxic pus.  But  Hoping my ear unplugs soon.  I’ve heard others on this diet have issues with their hearing??

I eased up a little on the diet last week and ate a couple eggs.

We also had fluctuating hearing at one point. Zinc is crucial to hearing. Maybe the vA detoxed used up all the zinc in your ear.

The fact that this is happening on the left is most probably because the lymphatic ducts on the left upper body are clogged overwhelmed by what is going on. I would do a simple exercise at least 10 times a day: just hit gently with your fist a few times just under the left clavicle while you say something aloud. The vocalisation is important, no, essential.

This is the place for Christians to hit and say I repent. For EFT it is the place to unlock the negative. This place is where the lymphatic duct takes a turn towards the middle of the body. This is a sharp 90 degrees turn and it gets clogged.

You could say any number of things, speaking to your left ear, thanking God for being alive, etc. Clear enunciation with muscular moves of the tongue, no mumbling. Talking about the problem focuses the rewards to your ear.

Hope this helps! Please report on results.
