Thanks for the reply
Don't take just one B vitamin. Buy B complex where is like 200% of RDA for all Bs and you will be good..

You need B1. Pork is great source of B1 and also low in vit A. But like I said there is no downside to take Bcomplex. Is it a problem? 🙂

Quote from Orion on March 21, 2020, 10:50 am@r-2 Brown rice, legumes/beans(I use black, lima and white), whole sprouted wheat bread, macadamia and sunbutter(sunflower seed) are part of my staples now, and really help, all the Bs are there. Highly recommend them, I tested all the B supps, and its just not the same as food. Bcomplexes I think should be avoided unless low dose, most have way too much B6, and most B are 2000% RDA.

That problem is I am skeptical of taking supplement unless really needed after I overdosed on vitamin A. they mostly come with large amount of doses

I wish I could eat beans no w, I used to eat , but beans ( red and black ) give me colitis which lasts for months if I consume even a small amount of them . macadamia I have tried and worked well on me , I think I will give sunflower seeds a try , only if they dont mess up with my intestines .
Thanks for the answer

Have you tried lower-oxalate legumes, like lentils, black eyed peas, or lima beans? Kidney and black beans are higher in oxalate, and some people can react badly to that. If you decide to risk it at any point in the future, apparently legumes are easier on the digestion if you eat them at least one hour away from fat.
My daily food list is similar to Orion’s: beef, whole grains (wheat, brown rice), legumes (lentils, chickpeas, black beans), peeled potatoes, sunflower seeds (1/2 cup provides 86% of the daily value of B1), flora sunflower oil, macadamia, walnuts, sun dried organic raisins, honey, a peeled apple
I’m starting to try to eat more of the plain legumes in between meals.

I see the biggest issue with the diet like this very high phosphorus content and very low calcium content. You can read from Ray Peat some info about calcium/phosphorus ratio... I think that this was one of the main issues for me. Vit A toxicity + vit D, calcium deficiency and excess of phospohrus from rice and meat diet. I was "bodybuilder" for many years.. It is a good idea to test PTH and if it is high that means your body is taking calcium from the bones for daily function due to calcium deficiency in your diet...
