Vitamin D fast depletion on Vitamin A toxicity

Sometimes: peeled apples, banana, green grapes, strawberries, dried onion/garlic powder
I see the biggest issue with the diet like this very high phosphorus content and very low calcium content. You can read from Ray Peat some info about calcium/phosphorus ratio... I think that this was one of the main issues for me. Vit A toxicity + vit D, calcium deficiency and excess of phospohrus from rice and meat diet. I was "bodybuilder" for many years.. It is a good idea to test PTH and if it is high that means your body is taking calcium from the bones for daily function due to calcium deficiency in your diet...
@jiri makes sense, when I list my foods, shows about ~20% RDA for calcium and ~175% for P. I don't really trust RP anymore, due to his stance on VA. I have been using calcium carbonate on and off, I might add in small amount to get me closer to 100% RDA once in awhile. I know Garret Smith has said not to worry about calcium intake, since when the VA comes out, not as much is required. What do you think the main issues caused by an incorrect Ca/P ratio are? thanks

Well just because Ray has different opinion on vit A that doesn't mean that everything else what he is saying is incorrect.. Ray Peat is very unique individual with no ego and mindset where he can silence voices of other people and make conclusions based on his own observations.. But he is still just a human. So you can't expect from him to have deep knowledge on every single topic.. Especially if we are talking about human body, living environment etc.. It is so complex.. That's why it is a good idea to listen a lot of people and make your own picture from all of them.. You can also be one of them, but I am not smart enough. So I need to watch smarter people like some chimpanzee and copy what makes sense to me.. 🙂 Anyway you can read his articles here http://raypeat.com/articles/ I can't do here some biochemistry kung fu to tell you why you need adequate calcium intake and what is doing excess of phosphorus. All I know is that I had always phosphorus heavy and low calcium diet and my health is not good. My teeth are transparent. I have difficulty to maintain good posture. I can't handle magnesium supplements I get crazy low blood pressure. Also very high TSH for years which points to excess of phosphorus and high PTH.. Like I said I think in my case it all started with accutane so vit A toxicity + diet low in calcium, vit D.. Also when you look at work of Weston Price people who were eating only grains were always in bad shape in comparison with people from Switzerland for example where they were raised on high quality dairy. They had nice wide bone structure, wide jaws with perfect teeth and people on grains were exact opposite. There was no vit A toxicity, because they had balance with vit D, also no pesticides etc.. Simply I don't think it is a good idea to have very low intake of calcium. Also calcium carbonate is badly absorbed, because it is crazy alkaline substance and when you take calcium ascorbate you just neutralize stomach acid and you need acid to absorb calcium... That's why I will lower my meat intake and start drinking some 1.5% milk. It will give me RDA for calcium with like 10-15% of RDA for vit A.. Which I don't think will give me any toxicity. Especially when I make sure to take at least 4000iu of vitD and going outside on the sun as much as possible..

yellow color is just color of riboflavin (B2) it is completely normal... Dude just relax if something is safe it is B complex.. Btw you can buy B complexes where is only 100 or 200% for each B vit, but 50mg is ok. You can take it every other day and lower dose this way..

Quote from Orion on March 22, 2020, 8:46 am@jiri No worries on the RP stuff, I have read every single one of his articles and listen to every single podcast and interview he has done, also talked directly with him, so I do trust his stance on most and do worship him 😉 but think he should come around on the VA topic, since he supps and recommends it.
Thanks for the info on calcium, I only take carbonate form with lemon juice when I do, forgot to mention that. My TSH is on the low side.

I have a B50 complex, not currently using it, but used to cut it up, so I could take a B12.5 or B6.25 complex if you feel to 50 amounts are to much to start with.
Like @jiri mentioned B2 will make your pee bright bright yellow!

I don't agree with Grant or Garret that vit A is a poison.. I simply think that it is another problematic micronutrient like iron, copper etc. Like I mentioned for example people from Switzerland mountains and other people that were living on dairy heavy diets full of retinol with no issues. But unfortunately today in this world everything plays against things like retinol metabolism. So it is better idea to avoid it.. I see it all the time. People who are eating regular diet that looks micronutrient deficient are doing better than people who are trying to eat healthy and eat things like fish, organ meats all kinds of exotic plants etc.. It is just destroying their fragile bodies..
