Vitamin D fast depletion on Vitamin A toxicity

@r-2 Yeah, both those types of rice are great! Whole grain rice is an excellent source of B1.

Hey guys ,

Thanks for you answers, one more thing though, I was looking for some options here regarding rice , in Bali they mostly sell red rice / black rice , is this something that can help with B1 ?

They have B1, but they have also a lot of anti nutrients. If you really want B1 from food. Lean pork is the best... But if you take B complex you don't need to think if you have enough of B vitamins...

@orion,    If I remember correctly you were taking selenium and molybdenum salts plus maybe some iodine for activating some of the Bs.   Did they help?  Are you still taking them?  Why did you stop the B complex, was it because it seemed to stop helping or did it make you feel worse?

I am still trying to figure out the Bs.   Somethings are better but I'm still extremely fatigued and drowsy even if I get 7 hours of sleep or take a long nap.   Daily, I take very small doses of B1, B2, B3, B5, B9 and B12 and ocassionaly B7.   Sometimes I try more but I think I get more insomnia then.   I wonder how some people can take so much thiamin per Dr. Lonsdale and do ok.   Tomorrow I'm not going to take any and see how it goes.   TIA.

hey @romaine, good to hear from you.   I gave up on all supplements, just really want to focus on food and not have to rely on supplements at all.  I do think the B2 activation protocol was helpful, because I wasn't focusing on beans/legumes, but have since dropped all supps and focus on getting brown rice and variety of beans daily with beef.   One note is my sleep really did improve dropping all supp'd Bs and the minerals, but it could be from the extra beans...   either way I seem to be healing and still moving is positive way.   I avoided the Bcomplexes, because of the B6 toxicity warnings.

I would go with your recommendation to take a B supp break, and look at added whole grains and legumes

Thanks Orion.   I did increase beans and whole grains (buckwheat and rolled oats) and also added in some macadamia nuts but maybe not enough.     I stopped eating white rice at the same time I upped the others.  I appreciate the encouragement and hope things continue to improve for you!

Guys what you think about arsenic in brown rice? Btw I think it is very important to have good vit D level. Especially now with corona virus. We people toxic in vit A. We are all vit D deficient after the winter. Unless you are from places like California, Hawaii.. I would love to eat beans, lentils etc.. But I think lectins, oxalates, phytic acid leaks to my blood stream. Because after eating beans or even potatoes my whole body hurts the next day.. I think it is damaged gut walls from amalgams that I had for 15 years+ vit A toxicity...

@romaine  I still use some white rice daily mix with brown, I find I don't get enough energy from brown only and it affects my sleep, something to think about.

Arsenic could be a problem, I wash the rice well before cooking, and arsenic has never shown up on my hairtests.   I try to get sunshine on the body from the window for now, temps are still quite cold here, can't wait for summer sunbathing this year, to see the outcome.   I think black and lima are low oxalate and I prepare them properly, soaking and long cooking times, I use potatoes, just not a daily staple.

I got my amalgams out about 10yrs ago, who knows the decades of damage that did to me...

According to this site https://www.urinarystones.info/resources/Docs/Oxalate-content-of-food-2008.pdf  lima beans are considered low in oxalates while boiled black beans are high.   Other sites may have different values though.   I eat mostly black beans but I think the rest of my diet is mostly low in oxalates.   I did try lima beans for awhile but didn't notice a difference.

Yes most legumes are lower in oxalate, but high in lectins... Heh I think I really need to eat just meats and for carbs white rice, maybe honey and other sugar sources that digest fast and will not irritate intestine walls.. Otherwise I will never regenerate my colon. Hope that taking vit D and lowering A will speed up this process..
