Vitamin D fast depletion on Vitamin A toxicity

PreviousPage 6 of 8Next

I started again with buckwheat and lentils., but if I will see some skin issues again I will drop it again and will eat just white rice and meat + some banana, cucumber.. Btt I wonder if reducing vit A intake to very low is really the best method for detoxing vit A faster.. If it is not better to keep eating like 2 egg yolks a day...

you cant tolerate brown rice ?

and what are some of the supplements you take with your base diet , just curious because I have the same type of diet

Well I want to eat legumes and other foods so I don't need to supplement with pills. I think that I have issues with B6 toxicity as well so I stopped B complex for now. I just take vit C. I make sodium ascorbate every morning 2x300mg scoops of ascorbic acid with 1x300mg scoop of baking soda.. I had also low vit D (78 nmol/l at the end of the summer) So I take vit D3 4000iu a day + K right from Jarrow every other day it has a lot of vitK in all forms + another 2000iu of vit D. I take here and there vit E complex and that's it for now. I was taking so many supplements also due to recommendations from ARL (hair tissue mineral analysis) but they just making me sick. I can't take zinc, selenium, magnesium nothing.. I can eat brown rice, but I don't feel good after that. It is full of phytic acid and also brown rice is full of arsenic.. It doesn't have high amounts of other micronutrients. So I don't see any reason to eat it. Buckwheat on the other hand is packed with minerals, but it is also high in oxalates..

Just for information:

on Smith group (https://nutrition-restored.mn.co) there one one person testing arsenic in his urine and it turns out that he had  higher arsenic content when eating white rice compared to when he ate brown rice:

Phil W

White rice has arsenic, not just brown rice. I had high arsenic urine levels after eating organic california brown rice (95th percentile 3x safe levels) so I stopped eating all Rice for a month, did saunas etc, re-tested, and my level was zero. I then started eating white rice only (Lundberg Organic Long Grain California). After 1 month, I retested and my arsenic levels were higher than they were on the brown rice.

I think he is eating mostly millet now and have zero arsenic levels in his urine. Also Smith wrote some days ago to stop eating white rice because it use B1 too much.

Yes I know that white rice has arsenic as well. That's why I eat only basmati from Pakistan. This type should have the lowest arsenic content. White rice is taking B1 from the body that is also true. But it is true for all carb sources that don't have B1.. Btw that's why is a great combo pork and white rice. Pork is great source of B1.. Guess what is a staple meal in most asian countries white rice with pork and vegetables... White rice is simply great source of calories, carbs. Especially if you are very active and you can't eat just 1000kcal in form of legumes or something like this.. That's why white rice is numero uno carb source for almost all athletes.. High calorie, very easy to digest... When I was 110kg ball of muscles I was eating every day like 1kg of meat and maybe 2 kg of cooked rice.. 😀

what are you. views on full carnivore diet ( without organ meat obviously ) and milk / yoghurt , in that way I we dont have to worry about a lot of B1 content or vitamin C ?

Do you think a carnivore diet would be nutritionally sufficient and with no arsenic no oxalates

@r-2 @matrixik @jiri  thoughts on quinoa?  good/bad?

On the egg intake, I think not eating retinol during detox is probably best, would expect it to slow down detox in the long run, but without unbiased studies we will never know.

Any extreme and it doesn't matter if it is carnivore or vegan is road to hell.. If you want to eat for the rest of your life only meat and become more and more sensitive to everything else then carnivore is a great for you..

I think quinoa is great if your digestion have no issues with it..
